First of all I want to thank you for your very imformative videos! I really like your style. What is the fluid that the technician uses (4:51) in his red/white spray bottle to clean the components? I have heard of using different types of fluids and just wanted to know what is being used here. Thanks.

Thank you so much for the kind words, he is using simply a brake cleaner, it cleans everything nicely and thoroughly :)... when you are cleaning your brake calipers , you can clean it using Silicon spray but for the outer surfaces where there is a lot of grime , brake cleaner is amazing

You can tell this guy is well experienced, but sadly some of the things he stated were technically incorrect. Statements about shaft speed, surface finish of OEM versus aftermarket parts, etc. were off the mark. Great video if you want to see a fork taken apart and put back together again, but probably that's where the value ends.

I thought he was comparing road to race spec on the finish, effectively the surface finish within the cartridge. I suppose that difference is apparent on visual inspection so without any measurement device. I didn't hear him talking about after market specifically?
