Wish they would have just redone NE airfield

I think consolidating the NWAF was a good idea. It might be wishful thinking but hopefully they aren't finished and add some kind of tunnel system or some kind of end game goal

They need to rework the NE Airfield

Loot does spawn at the "scrapyard" areas. Since their mostly unhit I found lots of guns at the humvee crash sites. Usg, m16, viaga. Kinda best I got from the whole airfield lol

I agree with the last comment. There seems little reason to comb this area when there are too many sniper points waiting to nick the stuff you've worked hard to collect before getting there! I think it's ideal for squads to head butt, but it's dangerous for solo players.

I do like this update. However, we will have to see what devs will add in the next year. Hopefully this update is a start into a good direction. I still think caves at chernorus map would be insane.

Honestly the new bunker would be a killer base. Especially since they removed that side "window" space underneath, you could put a bunch of gates in there.

Can confirm the "Bunker" in TISY does NOT have the boxes. At least on Xbox it doesnt

Not what i was expecting for nwaf rework if they did not improve the loot as it seems there is still no reason to risk going there just to get a your dead screen out of nowhere. They could havw at least added a version of the livona bunker in and give people a reason to be there other then camping

I think they should compensate the new open-ness of the air field by adding in an airplane graveyard down one of the sides of the runway. It would just make it feel like an actually used post Soviet air base. My biggest complaint about the tone of dayz for the longest time is that you feel like you are looting through abandoned urban decay, rather than a country that was turned upside down by a civil war and a zombie apocalypse. Everything strikes me as having been abandoned years before the end of the world. I kinda like it though in some ways because it does nail that post Soviet vibe plus it’s unique for a game, but I think it’s way overly barren in many places.

Not every building has to spawn loot to have a purpose.. like the construction building was cool bc it was like shit hit the fan and they never got to finish it .. adds character, that’s like saying sandbag and barbwire barriers are useless bc they don’t spawn loot lol.. it’s about the appearance sometimes

The building you entered briefly at the Airfield entrance it's called Tisy Kitchen in the editor, they could've add some tables and chairs to give more of a Kitchen feeling for sure but that's how the building itself is called in the files. However, I wanna open a discussion about the use of the "camping" term, that for me in a game like DayZ doesn't really exist... I mean, I still call campers those who stay on places like ATC or on the roof of the apartments for hours awaiting for someone to kill BUT I learned a long time ago that staying in the same place for too much time, especially when you give out your position by shooting, isn't really a smart thing to do because you're just asking to be headshotted by someone smarter than you. Also, it's Dayz, and with that I mean that you haven't to "accept" every fight, so if you die because you mindlessly push someone hidden in a corner of a room without taking precautions that the game gives you (I'm talking about flash grenades, POX grenades and such) the fault is totally yours, not because they're camping. Just leave em there to die of boreness, or wait 'till they leave the building. Real campers for me are only found on deathmatch servers where you know and accept you'll die a lot, but in Vanilla/officials servers where the point is to survive, if a camper kills you you only have yourself to blame. Only my opinion, and I'm sorry for the LOOOONG comment.

Well the new NWAF is complete now, with no just military Loot but with medical, food and firefighter too its such a better option than just farming Tisy

IMO the problem wasn't that the airfield was too big or whatever, but rather that nobody went to Tisy to end their stream. Tisy should be the place streamers go to get killed. It's a smaller area to find fights and it's higher tier loot. Rebalancing tier 3 and 4 loot (ammo, weapons, plates), might've encouraged people to go there instead, and avoided an unnecessary rework of the airfield.

The community servers are gonna have to boost the “no build on military bases” because having a built in basement is wild 😂

I'm the minority here but I don't like the nwaf changes. I'd like to add a new airfield with the new changes but not modify the old one.

I'd love to see certain zombie strikes lock you into an un-skippable animation or even QTE if using melee, maybe press F within 60 milliseconds of getting hit from behind to do a judo flip and it doesn't always do it but if it does and you miss, you get knocked forward with a zombie on you

Absolutely nobody asked for this rework. Leave it to the dayz devs to spend so much time on bullshit that nobody’s asks for…fuck a nwaf rework what about a new map? Or digital code locks? Or one tappers? More sophisticated armor system with different tiers of body armor? New ars, smgs, and dmrs? And no an m14 doesn’t cut it especially when it can only use that disgusting 6x they added. There’s another thing they could do… give us actual sights and attachments that people want to use… how is it that every vanilla scope is damn near unusable so everyone just runs iron sight…and how is it that modded servers have a plethora of nice looking attachments. Literally the only good the devs have done in the past 5 years Is add unlimited sprint, patched swimming/ww, and added no clip for building… everything else they’ve updated has made the game worse than it was in previous updates. I sincerely hope the developers hire people who actually understand what the player base wants. Like please hire the people who run rearmed or perception ffs
