Wow I love how that looks! I’m not a huge fan of the outback wilderness styling in general but you really made it look great. The wheels and tires I think made a huge difference more than most any of your other mods. Liked and subbed!

Great video. The best thing about mods is that it makes your car your own. I have a 2016 Crosstrek with 200,000 miles and many mods similar to yours and I’m ready to retire it. Okay, I have a couple things I’d like to suggest... I sleep in my OBW all the time and I love the Visual Autowerks window vents to prevent condensation in my car. (I even installed little 50mm computer fans to circulate air, and it’s all kept completely dry by my OEM wind deflectors.) Also, I tell everyone I work with that my Her Necklace grill lights come on because my camera has a motion detector and is watching them. It works! Lastly, my Perrin shift knob is a GAMECHANGER for me. I absolutely love it. It serves absolutely no purpose, but it feels nice.

Great video, great looking Outback. I’ll have to look into Yakima now for roof rack mounted accessories, they look more sturdy than other options. I’m curious if 235 tires would get rid of the rubbing.

Thanks and Yakima is a better choice I think altho Thule has better looking Cargo boxes and if you get 235, it should have any rubbing issues

Hello. Love your videos. So professional and intimate. I just purchased a Wilderness. I am blown away by all the improvements you have made to your rig. I have one question. I recently visited a dealer in the Northwest. I inquired about changing to larger tires. The service rep. told me that changing to a larger tire can screw up all the settings to the vehicle. Did the tire change you made cause any issues for you?

Go with ADF skid plate. I used CAtuned front brush bar which is great. Vantru cam looks good.

I got lots of ideas from your videos, so thank you! I did have one possibly useful tip for you- there is a company called Cascadia 4x4 that makes lightweight very durable solar panels that go on top of your hood, and run power directly to your battery. It would help protect your outback against the worry of draining your battery. I have one on my Forester.

Thanks, a lot of good tips. I put an Ironman 4x4 lift on my SOB. I like it. Tires - yeah, you just can't put very big tires on the OB. Even with 3PMSnowflake rating, I carry some snow socks... socks won't tolerate any rubbing though.

0:50 manufacturers make that scratchable plastic because it helps dealers sell cars. It really pops in the light then after you buy, well, it’s your problem.

I was also considering that too but I went with the Subaru because it's slightly bigger and has proven offroad capability. plus was planning to move to PNW and every time I used to visit PNW, I saw so many Subarus compared to other states so I figured it was the appropriate car to get. LOL

Informative vid... I just purchased a '12 outback 3.6R Limited... Stock wheels are 225/60/17...without a lift do you think I'd be able to put on the Baja Boss 245/65/17 with a narrower offset? I like the stance your OB has but I'm concerned about rubbing issues over time. Thanks for any advice you or your followers may have. ✌️

I dont see a link to the VanTrue dash cam that you, so graciously, recommended. I am in the market for a dashcam for my brandnew OBW as well, and thought it a good way to extend my support to your awesome channel. ! Also do you recommend, or have alternative recommendations for the OEM Crossbars and 2xBike rack to the hitch ? Maybe I can get away with just the hitch installed at the dealership ? I currently have booked the hitch, the crossbars and a bike rack, and have to take the vehicle in when they order them in.

3:27 Subarus used to come with a built in tray from factory! My 2006 Impreza Wagon has one but my 2011 Legacy just had a cover like yours

Those wheels and tire set are what I’m looking for - QQ: with the 20mm offset does that mean you don’t have wheel spacers? I used some 20mm spacers to get the same wider stance so hoping I won’t need them if I get the LP1’s 20mm offset :)

Yes, you do not need spacers and that's the same reason why I got the 20mm offset wheels

Love your videos! I just got a Crosstrek wilderness. Do you know of any screen protectors for the gearbox? Screen protect only has it for the radio and dash board on the Crosstrek model

Hello. First of all, NICE RIDE! Your vehicle looks amazing! But I do have a question... I am considering a 2024/2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz (probably the XRT) and pretty much plan on doing the type of off-roading you do in your vehicle. Do you think the Santa Cruz can do what your Subaru is doing? Just wondering what your thoughts are in the XRT. Thanks in advance.

Thank you and we actually had a guy join our Subaru meet and he had a Santa Cruz and was able to keep up with us just fine but it was a forest road with little bumps so if you are planning to do mostly forest roads, it will be fine. however, looking at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nrdzgathtrObfqc.htmlsi=6PnKaeUkngrzFGD0 you might run into issues if you are met with more challenging trails.
