Capoeira Roda on the beach with Mestre Pastinha and his students. Recorded in the 1960s and probably in 1965 (documentary released in October 1965).
We can identify Mestre João Grande playing with Mestre Vermelho (identified by CM Rouxinol and confirmed by Mestre Genesio Meio Kilo).
We can see a type of "Balão" (at the time it wasn't just in the Baiana Regional Fight that Balões were practiced). This projection within a "Chamada" is called "Sereia" or "Aloandê" (Thank you M. Espaguete Elton Cristiano and M. Papel for highlighting this "detail").
Note the way of playing the reco reco. The microphone was probably too close to the reco, and in fact, it is very noisy.
