+Sam Elier its a really thick narrative mate I can assure you that, but basically the class conflict is not one between any individuals but in class relations, social relations that primarily have to do with property norms that subjugation via other networks of power relations (governmental. institutional). I'm thinking base and superstructure here you with me?

+Sam Elier so ultimately this manifest in a struggle or "class was" between the propertied and propertyless (in terms of capital). thats the grey and white of it, the skeleton if you will (bourgeoisie, proletariat etc etc.). at its core though it really has to do the struggle between labour and capital.

Somehow, even through the trailer, this movie seems better than my impression from the trailer. I'm not sure that sounds like it makes sense. Basically, the trailer made it less "awards-groping" and more just "American single-wrapped cheese slices." But I'd like to see it, regardless of reviews and regardless of this trailer.

Selena is a good friend of Franco, and Franco directed this. Also, Selena was an actor long before she was a singer. She won an Emmy for her acting.

The moment when you realise Selena Gomez is like in every frame when she's just another character, then you know they are trying to draw her fans out to support the movie. Nothing wrong there, but seems shadowing other great actors and their character, poor Ashley Green, she ain't even in the promo credits.

Was Selena pregnant here? Steinbeck is rolling in his grave. The book is a cautionary tale about using violence as an answer to inequality and how mob mentality and mob violence lead down a dangerous path where nothing gets done. This film completely missed that. Was Franco high when he read it or something?
