no, it’s supposed to mimic the guy telling her exactly when to say her lines. it’s basically telling her when to start each verse!

You get used to it. We used the same ticking in marching band when learning new drill. It’s a comfort sound.

For musicians, the ticking sound is like a life vest. It's only played in the in ear monitor and guides her so she doesn't sing ahead of her instruments or she knows when to catch back up even after an impromptu adlib

@@norapallen984 no one would sing during 3 hours for all those concerts and that’s totally fine, even the finest vocalist like Mariah, Celine, etc they’d use the back track or they’d lynpsing sometimes, it’s only to preserve their voice, if you watched the Eras tour you can easily identify when there is the back track playing in the back, that’s why i was curious to know how do they do when there is lynpsing or her voice playing in the backtrack.
