Paddi Krause switched to an Avid VENUE | S6L on the last tour of the Swedish rockers In Flames. In this interview, we talk about Avid's new flagship.
Monitor and FoH consoles are from Go Audio Rental in Hamburg, as well as the V-series from d&b audiotechnik, which is used as the sound system.
In this video Paddi Krause explains his way of working with the new console and the miking of the drums.

Great video, I am rather impressed with how the guitar cabs were mic'd. That is a cool idea. Now I am curious to try that and see how it sounds.

Ive seen In Flames a couple times, they always sounded great. Only problem I have is the lighting is so spastic I can't see the band

"I think i have like, 65 inputs now" yet most of the Punters out FOH, especially at a Metal gig with booze in their system typically actually only hear ,Kick, Snare, A murmur of Vocal Sybalance. and largely fuck all Guitars other than just a big wash of Noise until a very distinctive Riff happens so they know what song they are Moshing out to, blindly ..... let's be honest .. Bass Player should just go home after the 2nd Song of SoundCheck, coz no one "Hears" you anyway given Metal Guitarist nature to just own it all (frequency bandwidth) ... .....
