5 ай бұрынChancellor Jeremy Hunt announced that national insurance would be cut by 2p, 'non-dom' tax breaks would be abolished, and there would be a freeze in alcohol duty but an extension to the 5p cut in fuel duty.
Mr Hunt said the cut in national insurance would save the average worker £450 a year.

1 Million on a muslim memorial, that could have gone to the NHS, help our ex service men/woman and to combat the cross channel illegals. The Conservatives have just dug a deeper hole for them selves.

So a separate monument for the Muslims that fought in WW2, strange that, when there were many different religions, faiths, races fighting with Britain, yet somehow Hunt thinks only Muslims deserve a separate monument when everyone else has a shared headstone, why the segregation now ?

For sure. What about a statue for the Germans that fought in WW2 while we are at it? Better still, 2 statues for Russians that fought in WW2 and 2 statues for Italians that fought in WW2 as they both fought both alongside and against the allies. A statue at Barnard Castle commemorating the point at which that guy realized he may not be fit enough to drive to London. We could have one commemorating Liz truss record of shortest ever prime Minister as well.

The fact they sit in the commons laughing and joking shows how out of touch they are with a family who are struggling buying groceries.....and am I right in saying that income tax is reduced by 2% but capital gains tax is reduced by 4%? No wonder they are all laughing 🤷

Muslims are laughing at us, they are going to have a separate monument dedicated only to Muslims, yet we had dozens of different faiths, religions, races, and he has chosen Muslims, I wonder why that is when every other race, faith, and religious groups have shared a common headstone, yet here we are giving just one group a separate memorial ! If a large number of Tory voters are grey pensioners then there is nothing in this budget for them. In fact the absence of anything for them is the same as there being a negative. The increase in state pension in April may push many pensioners to pay more tax while inflation continues to eat away at what income they do have. I can not see many pensioners voting Tory at the next general election, especially if it's May.

Should have also reduced income tax to some extent for workers to give workers more discretionary income. This would stimulate the economy and assist productivity and growth.

Cuts in income tax or n.i, raises and supports demand. It does not increase productivity.

Saving is not the same as cost avoidance due to price freeze. Particularly if salary doesn't go up. I don't really think price freeze works, as it will be compensated after the frozen period. Although some good news anyway
