First of all you are crazy adorable. Second thank you so much. As a combat vet from afghan you understanding the need for opposing views and the need for conversion to grow as a county is paramount. You listening to each verse and breaking it down. Willing to actually listen to the bars and understand is absolutely beautiful. This hits home with me on so many levels that for the first time in years I teared up. I fought for the home I loved and came back to a county I felt hated the ideals and concepts I went to war for. It's painful. This song gave me hope that our country isn't lost. I want to say I love these artists. And you have given me a hope I thought I lost.

For me, the amazing thing about this song is three main rappers all with different perspectives on the same problem. Struggle comes off as mostly Christian, maybe on the conservative side. Adam is fully conservative. Tom exposes the hypocrisy of both sides and is squarely in the middle (if someone THINKS he is throwing more shade at their side, maybe it's because their side provides more opportunity to throw shade). I've been republican but think of myself as conservative more than republican.

I personally am independent voter but never have voted Democrat. Most people I have known and met who vote republican from conservatives to libertarians only vote republican as the lesser of two evils. Problem is goverment is evil no matter what till God rules over all. Conservatives/libertarians tend to be for less government, while liberal/leftist tend to be for more government. We all mostly agree about many things as a problem, but how we seek solutions differs drastically. One tend to lead to worse problems historically,as they turn to a evil system with evil people to fix the issues. The other tend to seek solutions with the individual, and local weak government when necessary. Trusting individuals is problematic, but goverment is just that multiplied by hundreds of thousands of bureaucrats, and giving them power over the rest of the individuals who might have actual solutions that work.

Tom doesn't ally with any political party. He examines everything through critical-thinking, and he encourages others to do the same instead of blindly accepting what either side tells them. He very gifted at using satire to point out the fallacies and idiocies of both sides of the political spectrum. Nova's backup and chorus vocals in this song made it sound like an angel was endorsing the messages from the men. I'm currently traveling down the Tom & Nova rabbit hole, and this is my first time hearing Struggle Jennings. Now I've got a new rabbit hole to explore. 😁

Thinking differently and new perspectives is all awesome because it implies actual thoughts. The problem we're facing is way too many people not thinking at all...

Tom is a "wake up and unite", type of artist, for the most part. Though it seems like he tends to bash the left, it's only because of their America Last , horrible policies. They do push the truth, regardless of the party. I agree Struggle and his deep, jazz rap voice, brought the house. I had never heard of him either. I am a Conservative.

the reason mainstream news called him 'conservative' is because his message does not align with their extreme views, and since they are the "tolerant left" (note sarcasm) they automatically label anything that doesn't mirror them as the enemy. That said - his views align with traditional American values which are usually more aligned with libertarians and conservatives. i'm a libertarian with traditional conservative values. I love my country, i love what it was founded on. I love my freedom. I think many of Toms fans fall in that basket - neither truly republican or democrat but a true libertarian patriot. Like Tom, I find extremes in both directions to be corrupt, but if I had to pick a side, i'll lean right cuz although their extreme views are concerning, the left extremes are fkn frightening and insane. Right is lesser of two twisted evils. Tom and I agree on the middle being the answer, and we agree our life should have as little invasion by government as possible. While related, there's a difference between Republican and Conservative. Just as every registered Democrat is not necessarily a true liberal. One of the reasons i admired Trump so much was he wasn't a lifelong politician - he only ran as a republican because he had to to get through the primaries, but was not truly a republican himself. Truthfully alot of his agenda was not appreciated by true Republicans. Which is why they didn't try to help him in the end. Sad, too, cuz I know in my heart our country and foreign relations would be a lot better right ow if we had a real president and not a lethargic sock puppet in office.

When someone says "I'm surprised tome said... " what they really mean is "I'm far left and not used to hearing an opinion that goes against the narrative and is spoken in a way that can't really be argued". No political affiliation, Christian (minister in fact), i got family that has fought in every way america has fought in, and before America in Europe we were fighting for liberty and the right whether it was the scottish fight the English in the 1300's or the Huguenots fight the papists in the 16th century.

I am Libertarian. I believe in the freedom to be left alone by the Government as long as l am not infringing on anyone else's rights

My husband and I are registered Independant. We lean more towards conservative but on things like same-sex marriage we're like cool, why not let anyone who is of age and consenting get married/have kids. Abortion, I wouldn't personally get one BUT I would NEVER tell another woman what she can/should or cannot/shouldn't do with her body and I would never judge her for choices she felt was the best for her personal situation or health. Just because I am personally against something doesn't mean I think it's right to push my views onto others. I agree with most, if not all of what Tom usually says in his music. Politicians are all corrupt and voting is really just picking the lesser of the evils. Everyone deserves love, respect and compassion.

My race is HUMAN, and because the liberals moved sooo far left, I now apparently lean "right". I'm just a constitutionalist American who wants Common Sense policy that serves our country the best, while having peace and negotiation and prosperous trade with other nations, legal vetted immigration, 100% freedom of speech and religion, a solid Second Amendment, etc... what we need is High transparency and anti-corruption measures put in place for politicians, and their salaries determined by their constituents, based upon their performance. Canadian here who recently discovered Tom. I used to be Progressive Left but they lost their minds. I've never voted conservative in my life and last election I just didn't vote...all sides we're Pro Mandate. I'm a political atheist now. The trick is to find common ground regardless of the divides we're nudged into by the machine.
