Big hugs Emma, i struggle being a cripple for 9 years now. My children don't talk to me, my ex wife constantly ridicule me but i have a few earthly angels that keep me going. I can't promise tomorrow but today i am ok. Once again big hugs. ❤️❤️❤️

My Ex doesn’t talk to me but I don’t want her to either, my two kids don’t talk to me either, my five grand kids don’t talk to me either all because of the controlling Ex. Made my life a living hell. Life sure isn’t easy and I keep going too. Today I’m alright too.

Emma, I met you and your family via Hayden. There are no words to comfort you except The Word. "I shall never leave you nor forsake you." I have lost so many friends of late including a suicide. Today I stopped in at the nursing home to visit an old boss. He seriously asked me to end his life. All I could do to answer him was tell him about two of my MBI professors who are themselves in a nursing home and in assisted living. I spoke as to how though they are 10+ yrs older than my old boss, one in a wheel chair the other entering dementia, they both still go around that nursing complex looking in on others and encouraging them and praying with them. Your video encourages me. Please do as you have said, share your faith more. You have a ministry as much as a man in the pulpit. I pray for your family and for Hayden's. My heart was comforted knowing that your family are followers of Jesus Christ and that you are comforted in *knowing* that your brother is now in glory. Celebrate his life and continue being a bright light in the midst of this dark world. God bless you and your family. -L

I lost my son at 20 . He took his own life . It devestated me & my family. I think we lost him before we lost him.. Encourage them to seek help at the first sign of trouble . If you can get them through that young age , hopefully they can learn to manage their emotions & realize there's life after mental illness . I think they believe they will always suffer & never be any kind of life worth living. Its not True ... In spite of themselves , time & maturity always give them a chance .. I can tell you what helped me ... I decided I had to live the rest of my life in honor of my son & be the best father, husband, & friend I could be...

Oh Emma, I have never cried at a KZfaq video until now. My prayers are with you and your family. Mental health issues are becoming more common in society, yet the stigma surrounding mental health hasn't changed unfortunately. I am watching this on Easter Sunday (I live in the southern hemisphere), Jesus died to save others and bring them to eternal life and peace, so Sam is in a better place than this one could ever be.

My best friend did this in 2020. He was very sick. I did his shopping and was asked very out of character by him to bring him some booze. Two days later he was gone with said booze. I have to remind myself everyday that I forgive him....I know how I feel, but I cant comprehend this level of hurt. Im honestly sorry for your loss.

Emma, I am so sorry to hear about Sam. You are so correct that more attention needs to be put on mental health. Everyone struggles with depression of some type and yet we all take it for granted that we will be alright. The truth is we're not. I have had my bouts with depression and most people would never know it. If it was not for my Lord and Savior, I might have ended up as Sam. I pray that you, Emma and your family are blessed with peace and do not blame yourself for what led up to Sam's decision. I pray that you will forgive him of his decision that has left your family hurting. May God bless you with peace and always give you cherished memories of Sam.

So sorry Emma! I feel for ya. I lost my younger brother to suicide at about the same age as Sam. It's such a hard thing to deal with 😢. Just know it's not your fault. Sometimes the individuals hide their pain really well. We needed to realize that mental illness is no different than any other. Left untreated it just gets worse. So sorry for your and your family’s loss. Life at times doesn’t seem fair. In my 74 years I have felt a lot of pain and sadness. In time it seems to fade away but the memories are still there. Keep your faith in the Lord and dedicate your life to his memory . I love your videos and try to keep warm in North Dakota.

I am so sorry for you and your family for the lose of your brother! I just watch the video of you and your brother riding in the tractor and goes to show you that just by looking at him you would have never thought that he would commit suicide, he looked so happy 😢
