My grandad was in Iceland for 2 years during WWII with the Army Air Corps. He really liked the place and even had a hand in building the airfield there in Reykjavik as an engineer. I've got his membership certificate for the FBI (Forgotten Bastards of Iceland) hanging up on the wall.
