I am also a victim and sometimes I wish I hadn't survived because I suffer so much! I was shot four times, twice in the head...neck and wrist. I am blind in my left eye and I have a bullet in my head and right shoulder. I STAY IN PAIN!!! He shot himself once in the head and died...I had a 2 year old and a 2 month old at the time. I left my baby father when I was pregnant. He became soooo hurtful, controlling and abusive. He threatened to kill me more times than I can count. My heart breaks for the ones, male and female, who are actually taken by their abuser. Sometimes you can do everything right and the system still fails you.

Anyone that’s in a relationship filled with abuse should leave without telling the abuser that they are leaving. The most dangerous time in a toxic relationship is when you exit.
