Sakuma san was one of the greatest direct heating tube amplifier builder in the world.
He was modest and helpful.
Sakuma san was born in 1943.
After making many amplifiers, he noticed that the amplifier conforming to electronic theory does not always satisfy our emotional sense.
He decided to build his system by his emotion, not theory.
His many original ideas have resulted in an unusual monophonic system.
Sakuma amplifiers are especially unusual.
He didn't care about slander against himself, but he was concerned for the feelings of Sakuma amplifier users.
The one way to prove their correctness, was by giving audio concert demonstrations.
During some two scores of years, there have been presented innumerable domestic audio concerts, as well as those in Milan and Paris, using amplifiers of his own production and other audio instruments of his choice.
More than 4,000 people have listened to music played through his system with great enjoyment. Newspapers and magazines welcomed his performances.
Experiencing his sound, both music fans and the media agreed that reproduced music can be also a form of ART that has beauty and communicates as much emotion as "real" music.
Today more than 200 audiophiles visit Sakuma each year to seek truth in the words "Farewell to theory".
Sakuma-san died of pneumonia on the evening of 13 th December 2018.

Thank you for the text you wrote to tell that gentleman story and approach to the enjoyment of music listening. That man had a mission and a message to share. Emotion before dryness of some hifi out of reach systems. It's an important message generally speaking and one that could help audiophiles caught into g.a.s. illness spending all of their precious money and in some cases, divorcing... I will remember this man. Thanks.

I found this your video "in memories of your Sakuma-san" today. I think you made this video in memories of Sakuma-san's achievements in making amps with respect. And I guess perhaps you met Sakuma-san somewhere... However, most of these photos used in this video that I took, and are memories of mine with Sakuma-san. You are introducing my flicker's page that is the source of the photo. In my memory, I have not received any contact from you asking for permission to publish these photos... If possible, I wanted to get my permission before making this video. I filed a copyright infringement claim today. But if you ask for my permission, I will withdraw. Because I have the same feelings in memories of Sakuma-san with you.

Hello, Yes, I made this video about 2 years ago. The pictures downloaded from this site: www.flickr.com/photos/16845323@N07/sets/72157622408731780/page1 I have not flickr account, the pictures can downloaded free.... Subsequent copyright infringement? I do not understand.... No bad intentions were driven... Unfortunately, I did not visit Mr. Sakuma, I just like to build tube amps. He gave the inspiration. @@hornmihaly2674 Thank you for your reply. I understand that you are not malicious. When I read your written document, I can see how you feel about Sakuma-san when you make your own amplifier in a place far away from Japan. This was also a surprise. I will withdraw the copyright infringement essue for receiving this reply. If you have any complaints of infringement from KZfaq, please ignore them.
