Adam Henson shares fond memories of Peg, his trusted colleague and loyal friend. At 14 years of age, this special Border Collie had worked faultlessly with Adam for a decade.
Now Adam reflects on his time spent with this faithful companion, how she fared as a working sheepdog and spending time in the media spotlight.

There's nothing to compare to the love and companionship of a dog. I miss mine terribly. She was a beautiful working girl!

Beautiful little film, but I'll be honest I wimped out half way through as I got a bit teary. I've my 13 year old ESS next to me and I know that day is coming .....again. I've eight dogs at the minute, working gundogs, plus the boys labrador as he's at Uni, I've said goodbye to many but I don't handle it at all well at the time. So goodbye wee Peg, you've made a rufty tufty Cumbrian ahead a little tear ....what a wimp I am

I said goodbye to my amazing Jack Russell Terrier, Finch recently and I miss her. She was so brave and spicy. The ONLY down side to having one, is out living them.

I lost my Miki’Oi 4 years ago to canine leukemia. My husband can’t bring himself to get another doggie. We’re still grieving Her. She was amazing!

Condolences from Los Angeles. Someday, if we humans deserve it, maybe the gods will reward us by letting our dogs live longer. I still miss our Irish terriers every day.

I had a standard poodle who was the best duck dog in my town. Half fish. She was truly special and loved every minute of it. Her name was Curly.

I’ve put down 4 dogs in my time and it hurts so much!!!! I now have 7 year old Border Collie and he’s just the most perfect family pet! We keep him busy and he gives us unconditional love! Thoughts and prayers to you! Lovely video❤🇨🇦

Non-dog people cannot see what the fuss is about. We had our dog put down some weeks ago now, our guilt never goes away but in the long run it was kinder for the dog as the old age and rheumatism that went with it made the poor souls life difficult. We still have lots of photos and memories, but without a doubt, when you have carried that sweet little bouncing puppy in your arms through the back door and been part of its life for almost 15 years it takes it out of you when they are no longer there. Time is a good healer I'm told.

That's the worst thing about animals. They go before you. 19 years I had a mixed terrier. Great nose, loved kids and football But the memories are also there even the extended family always remember him . Still breaks my heart

We have an almost 11 year old German shepherd named Lucy who is slowing down due to hip and arthritis issues. It will truly sadden us to part with her. We have a naughty little Australian terrier named Agnes who is older but still spry. We love dogs.
