100K is, assuming guide references are correct, 10/9/86. And that has to be one of the most madcap endings to a front game that I've seen.

Also the color seems really bright on the $100,000 pyramid. Maybe thats just because of the way im watching it from my computer but i think its a little bright. I really wish i could get gametv just to see the $100,000 pyramid running again. As much as i like the michael strahan version no one tops the DC. I think this episode originally had a ticket or a contestant plug that wasnt shown here along with the fees.

Me too they are like USA. Show the credits in full, unedit the ads,, show ticket and Contestant plugs etc.
@GarryGriffy8 ай бұрын
@@jwgreek8606 i dont know if the fee plugs were shown here on the gametv airing or if blanquepage cut them out because based on what ive seen through credit crunches, the first two fee plugs (playtex living gloves and riunite natural peach) would guaranteed be hit with a copyright strike if posted to youtube.

I'll be honest, I never liked Pyramid. I always viewed it as a show that was more about the money rather than the actual game itself, because looking at the show's gameplay, it's just Password but instead of being limited to one word you're limited to a time limit and you have to answer a bunch of words in a category. The music was god awful, the set they used in the 70s was one of the biggest eyesores i've ever seen, and all and all it's a perfect example as to why I believe Bob Stewart is an overrated hack who couldn't make a good game as an independent producer, which is why outside of Pyramid every other game show he made as an independent producer flopped and only lasted a few months before getting cancelled since all of his game shows were either "answer words with Celebrity Partners" or "compete with a team for a week"..

@@JohnathanWilliamson849 well Pyramid was a spinoff of password just meant to be a high stakes version of it i guess. Three on a match and Jackpot lasted a few years though. Chain Reaction lasted 5 years and didnt have celebrities (originally it did.)

@@GarryGriffy The whole high stakes spinoff just seems lazy and a way to avoid creating your own game. It's also why I don't like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire as looking at the format it's a pretty bland format that is basically the $64,000 question's money tree but with more money and no isolation booths. But back to the topic at hand Three on a Match quickly became forgotten after it was on the air, Jackpot only lasted a year in the US in the 70s, had to move to Canada where it aired for 3 years in the 80s and then moved back to the US where it aired for just the 89-90 season before getting cancelled again, and the Bob Stewart version of Chain Reaction only lasted a few months in the US before it got cancelled due to David Letterman's show and had to move over to Canada like Jackpot to continue airing. I mean even looking at the Dick Clark-hosted version of the $100,000 Pyramid, it only lasted 3 years before getting cancelled, and it mainly aired on independent stations in it's biggest markets even at it's peak.

I can't believe GAMEtv can air Clark $100,000 Pyramid, but GSN can't?

Or an afternoon movie and they could have used Football as a clue
