The company cities a rampant increase in crime as the reason In-N-Out has closed an Oakland location. NBC News' Dana Griffin explains that although the location was bringing in good revenue, they say the safety of employees and customers remained in danger.

There will be a lot more crime to come. Were telling people at the bottom of the wealth gap to follow the law dont do crime meanwhile a guy with 91 charges and 4 indictments is being allowed to waltz in and out of court disrespecting judges threats send to DA’s and being allowed to win state after state.. This is what folks are seeing nightly on the news. Soooo we wanna tell folks who have alot less than him “ o you have to follow the law and not commit crimes” How’s that working out so far????

When we moved to the bay, we looked at a place in North Oakland that was nice enough. Then we drove downhill back to the freeway. At the light, there was a collapsed building to the right, a crack motel to the left, and a house on fire. I stomped on the gas and we never looked back.

California needs to do a better job. As a black man, I get it: far too often, we've been unjustly incarcerated. And I'm not saying it's just black people committing the crime. But there's a large percentage that are and the pendulum has swung too far the other way. If I were a business owner in California, I'd be closing my business too.

Oh well the mayor and the city council doesn’t care to protect its businesses or residents. She got rid of a police chief that was doing his job. Businesses and customers don’t feel safe in Oakland period. No business is in business to get robbed and customers to be victims of crimes every single day while visiting said businesses. Top that off with a DA that coddles, protects and loves criminals and refuses to prosecute them for any crime including homicides. Businesses and residents of Oakland are tired of the incompetence and lazy leadership that’s all talk and no action.
