In this lesson, I'm going to teach you how to use IN, ON, and AT. These three prepositions are often used to talk about place. I'll go over many different situations showing you when to use each preposition. And be sure to take the mini-quiz at the end of the lesson. Then let me know how you did in the comments.

Nonetheless, I'd like to notify you that we can use: 1- in or at with schools, colleges or universities. 2- in or at the front or back seat of something. 3- on the river or lake or ocean means beside it: I have a villa on the river / My house is located or sited or situated or positioned on a lake. Thanks for the lesson. It seems strange for me to use "in" with a taxi and use "on" with a public transit like a bus. I also didn't understand the third example. I assumed to use "at"(refer to most shops or public places). I think that the city center is a public place.

Hi. On a plane or on a bus because we can stand or walk in a plane or a bus. In an automobile, we can only sit, so we use in the car. Thanks a million for all your interesting videos.

I have a question for you. In a song by Enrique Iglesias (Tired of being sorry) I heard expressions like: "Beneath the Sun" and "I am standing in the street". Because I thoroughly improve the English language in the literary sense and every language is not the release of certain sounds but a state of mind. And I know how the preposition "beneath" can be used as well as the preposition "in". If you can, please answer the question whether it is grammatically correct and in which cases of poetic-literal expression.

It's a real pleasure to learn with you ! I watched other videos about this topic, but it was not so clear as with your examples ( of the lesson and of the quiz). Despite of the song "singing in the rain" I tended to think"under the rain" (actually the word for word of the French !) ; but now I understand that to be under, it’s necessary to be "in"! Hi, I'm from Vietnam. I would like to ask you a question. Below is the context. I and my friend went to the supermarket and forgot witdrawing the key from the motorbike lock. Luckily, it was still there after we were done shopping. I told her that we were lucky, noone stole this motorcycle. She quickly replied to me that noone had our ticket. Actually, the supermarket has no barriers, therefore, it is easy for a stealer to do his task. In this case, Is it grammarly correct for me to use the phrase " You are innocent" to her? Or Should I use " You are naive" ? We are all in 20s. Or any ways of expressing the fact that She is not having much experience in life, and not thinking of something thoroughly. Hope you spend time with me. Thank you so much.
