This is my music video tribute to David Tolk's peaceful, contemplative instrumental music.
He granted me permission to use his music in the video that I created for use in my "Forgiveness" workshops. I thought it fitting to include a voiceless version so that everyone could enjoy his music alone while taking in some of the beautiful footage and photography.
Thank you, David, for letting me use your wonderful music.

TODAY 3/23/2023 would have been my beloved little brother Alexander's 55 th birthday. I MISS him so very much. Can't BELIEVE 10 years has gone by so fast! ): Portrait of a Brother I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts, or fears. But I can listen to you and together we will search for answers. I cannot change your past with all your heartache nor the future with it's untold stories. But I can be there now when you need me to care. I can't keep your feet from stumbling. Your heart from breaking. I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall. Your joys, triumphs, successes and happiness are not mine; Yet I can share in your laughter. I can share your sorrows with a hug, a hand, a kiss and a whisper. Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor are they to judge I can only support you, encourage you, love you and help you when you ask. I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship, from your values, from me. I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you with open arms. I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you But I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself, my beloved little brother. I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting, But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place. I can't tell you who you are. I can only love you as a brother should with love, laughter, dignity and grace. You were a light in my soul Alexander. Your heart was filled with kindness and generosity Your laughter was warm. Your spirit, radiant. A brother is a friend God gave you. A brother is a friend given by nature. There's no other love like the love for a brother. There's no other love like the love from a brother. God's call has returned you to home You are no longer tortured in your mind, your body and your soul. No more suffering for it has been replaced with divined serenity. I will always love you. The trumpets and drums are playing, You are now at peace with the angels. They hear you sing, I Surrender to you O' Lord. Your spirit shall live in my heart and soul, for you Alexander will always be my little brother 4ever. Rock on! your brother 4 LIFE Love & Light, Christopher

I was reading a book while this song came on Pandora. I started crying without realizing it. Other than Thomas Newman songs, no other songs can make me cry like this one. I feel so lucky Pandora actually exists and I found this song. Why isn't this song more popular?

Amber Evans Oh, that would be the perfect time to listen to this song. I just graduated, so no more essays for me. Maybe I should listen to this song during the random times I write in my journal. I really loved listening to Tycho and Blackmill when I was studying. Tycho and Blackmill definitely helped me get good grades, you might like their music too. Make sure to get internships while you are in college and good luck with your studies :)

FYI, I don't know if you realize that one of the greatest new age composers of our time replied to your comment here (Steven Cravis!) - If I were to choose one of his tunes as an initiation, check out his, "Children of Beslan" and let me know what you think :-) FYI, I purchased this tune (In Reverence) on iTunes and can strongly recommend buyin' the high-quality file of this piece - just spectacular!

I'll never get tired of music like this even if they do "sound alike." To me, it's just a reminder that Music is the language I speak - I was born into it, growing up with it, and I shall die with it.

Both this song and Life and Death by Paul Cardall are the pieces that make me honestly realize how easy it is to be found in new light, even after walking the darkest road. Yes, we know that no one is perfect, but what needs to be understood is that perfection is achieved only by those selfless enough to see it in others. If there's anything else to say, it's this; Do not lose the sweetest moments by anticipating their end.

Thanks for making this...I just posted this in facebook and thought I would share. None of us know what happens when we die. We can assume, we can believe by faith, we can take other peoples word for it who claim they have seen the other side and returned...but none of us really know until the day we stop breathing and our bodies stop. We either find out or we fade without knowledge of anything. I was sitting around relaxing with a cup of tea and I was thinking about and missing my brother Blaine who passed away a short time ago. We used to talk for hours about everything and anything. Existence, religions, space and time, not days or nights or sunsets or sunrises...just a planet rotating in this vast universe casting shadows. Who we are and how destructive of animals we can be and how loving of creatures we can be. I miss those talks. About 5 years ago he emailed me an mp3 of this most beautiful instrumental and he said when he heard this song for the first time it reminded him of our talks and the time we spent sharing our ventures into our minds. Somehow I misplaced the mp3 through new computers and formatting. My gut tells me I left it in a folder that I deleted before double checking it to see if there was anything else I wanted out of it. Anyway...as I am sitting her thinking about him and remembering all the good things... the song starts to play on Pandora on a New Age Ambient channel I made. My heart dropped. I've never heard it on Pandora before. I've never heard it anywhere other than the mp3 that he sent me. The emotional me wants to think it was him somewhere saying "here ya go brother...I'm still around". The other side of me sees it just as a coincidence. Either way, it absolutely felt like it was supposed to happen no matter what it was. As I go to youtube and look up the song, I find this video tribute that was made by a fan. In the pictures displayed it shows an overlooking cliff view of a forest that resembles the area where I left his ashes. The place he wanted to be. I do miss my brother very much.

I first heard this when I was walking Pine Mountain Trail in Pine Mountain/Warm Springs, GA and I was on part of the trail that you could see one hill side while walking (hiking) the other side. I had Pandora on, and this came on and I just stopped, sat down, pulled my phone out of my back pack and burned the name of this into my mind and then I discovered the CD "Grace". And I was blown away. I have a new friend in my life who is literally deaf but has some hearing and the slide presentation is equally beautiful and whatever my friend can hear, it is this song. I mean no disrespect to those of you who are deaf, but for those of us do hear; this piece of music speaks to my faith in God.

When I listen to this I close my eyes, and remember this past summer. I remember all the good decisions I made, and regret nothing. How everyday was another day to look forward to. Then I realize how boring my life is now, and how I've lost one of the biggest things that made the summer so memorable. Then there is a manly tear. And life goes on.

This song stirs up endless emotion... I envision the lives of people I've never met, their trials and tribulations, their happiness, their despair... It makes me realize that the world does indeed turn, life goes on for most, and for some it comes to an end... It is in these feelings that I realize with certainty that we only have one life to live, one moment after another... So please, cherish each and every moment you have... Experience everything you can... And do so with kindness and compassion, for each other, and all living things on this, our only earth... There really is no reason not to...
