What a lovely ride! My kind of places. KZfaq can be disheartening! I (Ol Man) thought of giving up recently too. On the review front; most manufacturers marketing departments are seriously hopeless, and have no clue what KZfaq could do for their brands, hence why for instance, Bennets and Carole Nash get the scoops, but nobody watches those channels. Anyway; lovely bike and lovely ride 👊🏽

I purchased my Triumph Scrambler 1200XC in June of 2020, and have since put just shy of 30k happy, trouble-free miles on it. I live and work in the desert southwest of the United States and have found the Scrambler to be ideal for my needs. In fact, my Triumph has been one of the few large purchases I've made over the years that has yielded absolutely zero buyer's remorse.

Nice ride.... I have a Royal Enfield Interceptor and a Classic 350 and for touring Honda ST1300 Pan European..... The Enfields are by far the most popular on my channel so most of the content features them.... I'm a sucker for modern classics and the Diamond edition of the T120 is a favourite as is the 2023 chrome. If only one bike it would have to be omni competent and uber reliable so some sort of Japanese made mid weight adventure bike 😊👍

Morning Nick, as I have been trying to create content for myself, I am so far behind with other channel’s I enjoy watching. Good to hear that you are not giving up. Now, I’m not the brightest button in the tin, so editing probably takes me longer than others, but apart from the obvious enjoyment I get out of riding, I do enjoy the editing process as well, even if it does take me about 5 hours to create just 30 minutes of video 🙄😂. As for bikes in the stable, I think two is a nice number. I recently sold “Honour”, my Interceptor 650, with the intention of buying a Suzuki SV650, but due to a change of plan, I am now just down to the one bike, Clementine, my RE Classic 350. A brilliant, do it all, go almost anywhere, bike. Easy to put in the back of the van, to take on holiday’s with us. We aim to do lots of that next year. If I feel the need for speed, I will just take a demo bike out for review. I went past Spring Wood a few months ago, and the Burger Van was at Spring Wood then, perhaps they are seasonal traders. Maybe not much trade out of peak times. Cheers

that sheep waved as you went by. lol good scenic views. I used to have 2 bikes a Harley Davidson fat bob 114 2019 and I had a Tiger 900 gt pro. i found the HD was costing a lot of money to service, so i sold that one and then on a visit to Triumph i traded my 900 gt pro in for the Tiger 1200 gt pro. i am torn in getting a Triumph T120. i do love my Tiger 1200, but i would have the display off the 900 and the weight of the 900 too and i would be well happy, but now triumph have the update to lower suspension i can't wait to have that done.

I’m in a ski town in Idaho where there’s not a lot of pavement. Up and down the valleys then the rest is dirt. That’s all fine and we have our fun but watching you cruising your back lanes is lovely. Hi Nick, What beautiful scenery. I always look forward to your enjoyable videos. To answer your question about which bike would I ideally have.. I have owned a Black Bonneville (carbs) for 17 years, I look after it meticulously. I am originally from Baildon in Yorkshire, but live in The Netherlands. "we", my bike and I, have toured Germany, and more recently toured Yorkshire (July and August 2023) I am so attached to my Bonneville, I wouldn't have the heart to get rid of it. It's part of me.. So my ideal bike is the one I already have. Cheers, and once again many thanks for your very informative and interesting videos., Best Regards, Tim

In answer to the one bike question...I currently do only have one bike, a Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro, and to be fair, it does do it all, however, I do live in hope of getting a second bike for short rides out, and that would be a Triumph 1200 Scrambler XC. However, as a one and only, do it all bike, having now owned both the 900 and 1200 variants of the Tiger, I'd go for the 900. The 900 has as much power as I ever need, is light enough to manage, yet will still do big miles touring.

Bought a Yamaha 2006 FZ6 sports tourer 3 years ago for $2700 in Canada, does everything I need it to do, sure there are better suited and more comfortable bikes, but with the riding season being so short, it's hard to justify having a $20,000+ toy sat in the garage. Guys I ride with have Harleys, but I'm more of a Tiger style bike fan if I was to upgrade when the prices come down on the 2nd hand market.

I'm fairly new around here, so I must have missed where you thinking of closing down the channel 😲 I'm really surprised to hear that from what I've seen. I do realize it must be difficult when you are working full time. I have to admit I'm not a fan of (my) editing...love the riding and the filming, just not a fan of editing...hence why I don't post my videos🤣 That looks my type of ride through the Trough of Bowland, I was due to be up around there in the middle of July but my 1985 Honda XBR500 in Gloss Black which I've owned from new, popped a fork seal on a pot hole in Wales, and I had a few 'problems' getting it sorted, and then the weather turned to poo...So I cancelled. 🙁 Ever had a gut feeling that says...This just isn't meant to happen..... The Honda's not going anywhere, toured the Pico's in 2018 and Santiago de Compostella and the furthest point West on the Spanish coast in 2019 (Finesterra) Total mileage about 3500 ...never missed a beat. 'We' ....I do that too 🤣....were booked on the ferry to Santander 2020 but we all know how that went.... 'They' want over a £1000 to take a bike on the ferry to Spain now...when I went it was £635

It’s something I love doing and yes with full time work and family it does take some planning and a good wife 😂 still to get to the picos maybe next year 👍

My other bikes Ducati 848 streetfighter such a great noise, Ducati 749S great poser machine but as uncomfortable as hell and an old GSXR600SRAD used for tinkering with, money no object I’d have a Ducati V4 Streetfighter. I think the Ducati Multistrada V2S would be my no expense dream all round 1 bike does it all, but my Triumph Tiger 900 GT is more affordable and a close 2nd. Both excellent all rounders but if you are talking 2 or more bikes I would probably go for something like a 1200 GT pro and a 900 scrambler with maybe a smaller bike for some greenlaning (I'm keen to see if the 450 Himalayan lives up to the expectation as it could be ideal 🤞). Also quite fancy a KTM 690 single......we can dream!

I started last year with 1 bike a Triumph 1200 scrambler XE . Wasn’t any good for touring , so I bought (new) Triumph 900 RP in green for touring on , did 2 tours to Lake District 3,000 miles and sold it because of the horrific handlebar vibes and numb hands , that’s why I never went with the 1200 , I blamed the 270 crank !! . I bought a new GS instead , ..later I was seduced by the moto guzzi v100 and traded my scrambler for it ..didn’t gel with it and found I was taking the GS out more and more . Even on short weekend runs , now I’ve sold the Guzzi and down to 1 bike the GS and tbh it’s god tier . I might take the Ducati V4 rally for a spin or perhaps have the new diavel as a second bike next year . I’ve measured the cabin and it’ll fit 🤔

Great all round bike I agree. I bought mine as a keeper to pass down over the years to my girls. The app on my phone is monitoring the mic in my helmet and I use the app as a remote control. The mic I use is professional grade called Instamic and records 32bit float. Not the cheapest but I do love to get video and audio right. Tbh it’s been a long road many years of trials to get the set up right

Hi Nick, love the content - glad you’re keeping the channel going. In the next few months I am hoping to pull the trigger on the exact same bike as yours. If you didn’t have your Tiger, what top 5, or 10, mods would you do to make the T120 more long distance touring friendly?
@MOTOUK1
@MOTOUK1 9 ай бұрын
Hi Nicholas 👋 thanks for tuning in. So in have made all the mods i need to my bike, not a cheap option if you go for triumph accessories. I added a centre stand which was a must so i can get the rear wheel off the ground and lube chain. I also added rear rack again triumph original. The side bags are SW-Motech Legend quick release racks which i love they really fit with the classic look. For touring i don’t like a screen on this bike so cant comment on these. Seat is comfy enough i think. I added radiator guard from Motone and a new skid plate in black. Only downside for long touring on the T120 is the spoked wheels being tubed, so not easy if you get a puncture.

@@MOTOUK1 I’ve definitely rewatched a few of your vids regarding the mods for the T120 - they’ve been really helpful. Currently deciding between the T120 or Tiger 900 GT Pro. In Australia, after fitting a few accessories to the T120, the price is on par with the Tiger 900 so makes the decision a bit more difficult. All the best, Nick.

@icemodica I don't have the DJI mic so I don't know how it fixes but with a flip helmet (I have a Schuberth C3) I've had decent results with it attached to a 'boom' directly infront of my mouth. Like this guy kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i7p3hMKGrbfcgI0.html (12::18 if you don't want to watch the whole thing) I just attached my mic to an old boom I had from a cheap intercom system.
