An excellent documentary Lajimbudha. These people's story makes our (western) life complaints insignificant. Hats off for all these undertaking woman who work very hard everyday of their lives, while taking care of their kids and keep pushing on with a laugh. They are the real superwoman. It really makes me look differently at my lifepath. I love your background song (starting at 10:41 into the movie). Can you tell me where you found this? Lovely documentary by lajimbudha. we must preserver our culture of weaving such beautiful blankets. The tradition should be preserved. The blanket are priceless. please do not bargain with such traders who came all the way travelling around 10 to 15 day on foot. Really nice to see such people still doing their best is such condition and keeping the tradition alive..

Left my village of Taman, Baglung at 5 to Kathmandu, would visit couple of times a year. Moved to England at 13, I still visit Nepal once every 2 years. Watching this video has brought all those wonderful memories of my childhood. I miss those days and looking back now, what a experience to be blessed with. So corageous, resourceful, intelligent and happy ladies. It was worth watching this documentary featuring how strong women are no matter what situation they are in they know how to live life the king size. Now a days we have to think 1000 times before buying gold. These ladies were proudly spending no matter how little they had. The expression of joy was priceless. I wish i could be amongst them once in a lifetime.

Excellent job done by production team. Watched whole documentary with mixed feelings of joy and sadness. I smiled when they were cracking jokes. I cried when I saw them walking on slipper with heavy load on their back. Thank you all for taking me to this journey. This is what proper documentation of Nepalese rural life. janis vogel Shut up western women work their asses off working jobs 8-10 hrs a day bringing home bacon too. Plus take care of the kids, cook, clean, run errands, grocery shopping and so much more. It’s just these f men today expect the women to work as hard as them at a job. Yet the man thinks the home duties shouldn’t be shared. If both work both duties at home and all errands involving the kids and anything needed for the house should be shared yo. Honestly western men are useless and why most women leave and decide to be single moms. Cause leaving means less f work than having a man to care for too Lol.

This documentary or video clip really deserves an award. It allows us to see the way of life of the people of the Himalayas. It's probably in Nepal or India. Simple way of life. I want agencies or organizations to support them. This area, if developed as a tourist attraction, will help improve the well-being of the people here. Yes, I cried watching this great video. Life is so hard for these Nepalese to make ends meet. They walk 7 days/nights in the cold, up the mountain/hills, terrains just to meet their market, and then use those money to buy their needs ... really sad.

After saw this documentary film my tear drop, thank god i n my family thousand times better living, I'm really salute all the woman staying there rough n tough live, so pity to see purchaser still want bargain with them, anyway they all so happy but we here all was provided still not enough n complaining, feel like want to share there life style for experience

Fantastic insight into the lives of these women from Rukum. Their lives are hard so there is no place for sissies. They bear their hardships with strength and humour. And after walking over snowy passes with their loads still have patience with people who offer them insulting prices. These people are an example to the self indulged whingers in soft western society! How I admire them!
