Yes, and no? I mean, we as the players can make him do good or bad things, but when Kris removes his soul, and in effect our control over him, he only does bad or questionable things.

I do think the king in Deltarune is just a jerk that decided to follow the Knight, but I still think the idea of the Knight controlling him is awesome. Poor Spade King, hope you get free. Also Kris just straight up trying to stab Lancer.

Can you imagine, at the end of Deltarune, be like, Kris goes back to the cell with the king, (most likely in the end, pacy or yeety it leads to the king's imprisonment just at different times) Kris goes to talk to the king, who very much hates the lighteners and still has a bad relationship with his son but then his voice drops, for the first time he isn't just false sympathy or kindness anymore, he tells Kris that despite how much he hates the lighteners and his horrible relationship with his son, he still cares about him. He doesn't care if he was mind controlled he still holds himself accountable for the many sufferings and near deaths he causes He tells Kris that despite the knight controlling him, he still let his wrath take over harm so many innocents and plans on staying in the dungeons forever. But he tells Kris that no matter what, tell Lancer to forget about him as he wants Lancer to be happy regardless. he didn't mean to cross the line and he doesn't beg for forgiveness, he only pleads for Kris and the lightners to never forget the Darkeners and to watch over Lancer and make him happy. Kris agrees to do so, the king refuses to want to talk and turns away. Kris narrates "Y o u c o u l d n o t h e a r o t h e r n o i s e s , b u t y o u s w o r e y o u s a w a t e a r s l o w l y c a r v i n g a w a y i n h i s c h e e k . . ."

Very nice work for all involved! It's fine for me at least if there are different creative teams working on different videos; the quality's still the same, that being fantastic! Also, that escalated quickly. Although, even though Ralsei's acting like his usual, sugarplum self, I can't help but feel suspicious. Dunno why.

I was wondering since they said you had to make a weapon out of your soul and the player soul is in Chris doesn't that mean the sword was their weapon so doesn't that mean that Chris doesn't have a soul which also means that he can use whatever weapon he wants to but if he did have a soul I think his weapon would probably be a nice since he loves them so much

Interesting. But what i don’t understand is why Rouxls Kaard (and probably the other monsters who work for the king) doesn’t remember what the King was like “before” he changed. Why is Lancer the only one who remembers? Does the “knight” really have so much influence, to control so many monsters at the same time? To warp so many persons perceptions and keep them under that? And why isn’t Lancer affected by it? Hmmmm. Anyway, i love the comic and the voice acting and sounds so far!! Awesome work❤️!!

What if the “Knight” is actually the “Night?” They sound the same, so the King might make that mistake. And Gaster’s body is made of void-black ink. Night would be an appropriate name.
