Awesome video...but man...I can't believe you walked right past the squirrel feeding at Gifu Castle! ...probably smart...those little guys are savage. Ukai is an amazing experience...sadly I wouldn't be surprised if it's lost to future generations. Really brilliant video. Love Gifu.

Thank you for the nice comment! We unfortunately did not have time to stop by the squirrel park, but we did check it out on a previous trip, and yes the little guys really are savage ahah.

A very interesting 3 day trip, it envelopes Japan's final days toward unification and peace, of course with the major characters. Is this trip "senior friendly" (65-71yrs.young). We're going to visit our son..and wife in Osaka, arriving April 5.

Thank you very much for your nice comment! This 3-day trip did involve quite a bit of walking, climbing up hills and stairs, but if you feel like you have enough strength and energy it is doable (maybe spread it to a 4 day trip instead of 3). Hope you will have a great family trip in Osaka in April! :)

We made a knife with Asano Kajiya back in 2017. Such an amazing experience and he was so helpful teaching us (and for me, ‘helping’ out since I couldn’t make the metal move very well…) Such a beautiful area. We did Magome also and we went to a different castle closer to Nagoya. Just south of Nagoya is a wonderful traditional tie-dying town which was also fabulous!

Does it really cost that much more to get someone to narrate the translation in English? Reading subtitles on KZfaq is so troublesome. Japanology does this so much better
