Sydney Poitier was such an amazing actor, this is one the best movies you'll ever want to watch but Sydney made many great movies, one that comes to mind was Buck and the preacher with Harry Belafonte and Ruby Dee, such a great movie!!!!

@@jackdziatkowiec Ha ha ha. The Chief was a tad disappointed with Wood's adherence to the law that Wood was supposed to PROTECT, safe to say ;-). Just got worse for Wood as the story continued. Great film. Poitier help produce a triple-crown of films during this era, including this one, To Sir With Love and Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? Cheers, LL.

I can't work out the time line for the murder. So did the murder take place before Sam Wood got to the cafe, or did the murder take place after he left? Can't have been before; and would have been impossible after.
@joline2730Ай бұрын
Ash: You know, I've thought about that a lot ‼️ The murderer was supposed to be working in the Cafe ... Wood went for a drive and no-one knows how long he took and anyways, how far away is the cafe ... looks like it's way outta town.

Excellent film. Unfortunately the occasional humour is largely edited out for the sake of a small increase in run time as are the errors made by Tibbs.
@theo995210 ай бұрын
I wonder why Tibbs did not reveal his status as a policeman to Wood right away. It would be the obvious thing to do. Even if Wood insisted to take him to the police station to make sure that he was indeed a policeman, at least he 'd have to show more respect.
