I think you are wise to. Let me know how you get on with your lessons, I am always happy to help you from then on if you need it but I cant teach you how to operate your machine only how to make things with once you can, from then on it is just practice. I suggest you spend a fair bit on time reading the manual that came with it too so things are familiar to you before you go to your lessons. Good luck.

Thanks for all your super videos! I don't mind digging through written instructions, but the demonstration is so much easier to learn from. I was wondering, is there any reason not to apply the back of the bib at the same time as the front and quilt through both? This wouldn't be good if you were going to add words, of course, but if it's just cute fabric and quilting, that would save time and look nice on both sides.

Hi Maria from the one I made it will fit a small baby up to toddler I used the 6x10 hoop. All the details can be found here www.kreativekiwiembroidery.co.nz/product/In-the-hoop-Baby-Bib.html . If you get yourself a snap tool set ( They are really cheap on Amazon and worth having and come with the snap) you could put a line of snaps so that it can grow with baby from birth upwards. It might be worth asking what age range people are using them for on Kreative Kiwi's Facebook group because there have been a lot made and I haven't got any babies around to try it on. Here is the link for KK's Facebook group if you are not a member already. They are a super bunch on there. facebook.com/groups/kreativekiwi/

It will dissolve in the laundry. Put a note in with it to say that it contains wash away stabilizer which will disappear as it is laundered. Just soaking it will make it go stiff until it is all gone.

@KaysCutz
@KaysCutz 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Wendy I have listed the batting I use in the video description you but can use any brand. I prefer a high loft fleece batting personally as it holds its shape when hung up but it isnt much good for a trivet. You could use felt or another type of batting if thats what you have got. There is no right or wrong batting per se. The thinner the floppier your wreath would be but if it is going on a table rather than a wall or door it woulnt matter. I hope this helps. Happy stitching.

I just got my machine and have never embroidered. When you attached the straps what did you set the machine to? Thank you.
@KaysCutz
@KaysCutz 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sharon I don't quite understand your question, I didn't set my machine to anything. You place the right strap down tape it in place then stitch colour 2 to secure it in place then you do the same with the left side and stitch colour 3 to secure it etc. All the stitches are done by your machine automatically, the stitch file tells it what to stitch and how.
@sharonsienaski3738
@sharonsienaski3738 4 жыл бұрын
Ok. So you are doing it on a regular sewing machine? Sorry to be a dope! 😉 Since I haven’t used my PE800 yet I am not sure what stitch 1, 2 etc. means.
@KaysCutz
@KaysCutz 4 жыл бұрын
No I am making it in the hoop on my embroidery machine. Round one round two are the colour stops. These tell your machine when to stop to allow you to change thread colour or add a matching bobbin, trim batting, fabric etc. To stitch a colour you press the green button and it does it's thing, then then it stops you do whatever the instructions stay as I demonstrated in this video. When I say stitch round X I mean press your green button so that you machine to do what the pattern tells it to stitch. I hope this makes sense.
@KaysCutz
@KaysCutz 4 жыл бұрын
Sharon may I make a suggestion. Ask your dealer where you bought it from for some basic lessons on your machine, so that you can understand how it works and how to thread it and do the very basics otherwise I can see you really struggling and giving up. Machine embroidery is quite a steep learning curve. Also I would suggest you start with a very basic freebie design like the applique pig freebie from Kreative Kiwi to get you started rather than the bib. I have made a video for it so you will be able to watch it and then maybe try it out. The design is here www.kreativekiwiembroidery.co.nz/product/free-large-applique-pig-machine-embroidery-design.html the video link is here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zp51grCn0dnVmXU.html

I purchased the In-The-Hoop Baby Bib and need to know why, in the 6x10 Folder, are designs "ZA-Bonus 6x10" and "ZB-Bonus 6x10" straps. I stitched out one set of these, thinking I could use them on the 6x10 FOX, but find it does not fit. I also see there are similar "Bonus" files in the 8x8 Folder. What are these strap designs for? Thank you.

Hi Suz, for the bibs I use Vilene hign loft fleece 295, it is polyester, for quilts you can use cotton quilters batting or bamboo, there are many that you can use. Ask at your fabric shop if you are not sure they will be able to guide you.

I am in the U.S. Can I still order off the UK Amazon and have them delivered here properly?

Kays Cutz thank you. I have not ordered from Amazon UK, only Amazon US. I would like to make sure you get credit for the products I purchase. So if I order from Amazon UK, does it automatically show me US currency prices? And do you know if it costs me more due to it coming from the UK? I’m sorry if my questions seem silly, this is new to me. Thank you very much.

Paula It is very kind of you to think of me and I appreciate it very much but please don't worry about buying from the UK it if is available in your own country. It will cost you more in postage and possible import tax. Keep your money in your pocket rather than the shipping companies.

I think the 6X10 instructions need to be corrected. The fabric for straps and batting should be 7X10. I tried per the directions, had to cut both in half for the straps, positioned them very carefully, but that still only left 1/8 inch seam allowance. I'm going to assume that the bib batting is the same issue
