Күн бұрын

Happy Friday/GGB day. Boy, do we love seeing you guys every week.
Today, we’re talking about how to trust God in the middle of a storm, similarly to how the disciples had to trust Jesus when they we’re on the boat with Him in the middle of a violent storm in Mark chapter 4.
The truth is, most of us have really strong faith until we are faced with adversity and trials that are out of our control. Then, our faith and trust in God might start to waver a bit. Jesus probably looks at us and says “why are you so fearful? How is it you have no faith?” Just like He did to His disciples. (Mark 4:40)
But we must remember that in all situations, in every circumstance, God is SOVEREIGN and Jesus is LORD and EVEN THE WIND AND THE SEA OBEY HIM. (Mark 4:41)
We talk in depth on how to relinquish the desire to be in control and how to practically surrender to God.
We touch on what it means to walk in the will of God and how determine His will for your life.
We love you guys so much. Jesus loves you more.
-Ang & Ari

I have been blessed to sit under great bible teaching for probably 40 of the 45 years I have walked with the Lord. The Scripture and theological content in this podcast equaled three of the best sermons on the topic and ministered to me greatly. I was totally nuked this week and prayed specifically this morning for something edifying to listen to on YTube and you Guys were on the top middle of the selection screen!

Hello! I have two channels on KZfaq. I was a singer/lyricist/melody composer for various European artists and at age 60 I'd became quasi homeless, so, I was forced to take a long break from the music industry, but, that's neither here, nor, there. Having come from a stout religious background myself, I had a very hellaciously horrid adulthood as well as a difficult childhood and for this I had become a realist who believed that God's nature could only be that of an evil one. I was born and raised in the Mormon church in which by popular belief is that they don't worship the Godhead or believe in the bible and I'm here to say that's utterly false. Mormons are Christians of whom have four books. These being the Bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine of Covenants & The Pearl of Great Price which are all scriptural works. I'm just now beginning to come back around from being an apostate through my lyrical works with these various artists from Europe in that the genres are in the category the Dark Electronic Underground Music Scene. My question to you two is, do you believe that God and Jesus Christ are two separate personages, however, one in Deity, or, do you believe in the Godhead, as a lot of Christians do, that they're one Spirit Deity?

@@nathanmccumber8965 wtf is that scriptural message saying? This is only reciting the word from God, Himself! It recites nothing about whether Christ is apart of Him, apart from Him, etc, etc! Mr scriptorian! I was merely asking these girls on their own personal conviction and no one else! And I certainly don’t need scriptural references on the subject matter as there are many scriptural references that conclude to the fact that God and His Son Jesus Christ were of two separate personages, yet, one in Deity! Thank you very kindly!

Its Ari's vulnerability that makes her so relatable. She isn't afraid to share that she's in counseling or about her past which are things that most people don't want to talk about or put out there for fear of judgement or pride, but think those are the things that are relatable and make someone feel like you can trust them because they're willing to share it. I too came to the Lord in the middle of a storm, that I am still going through even after 2 years. I can confidently say that He carries you through it. When you feel like giving up, praise Him and you will receive his peace. I thank you for the reminder of 2 Corinthians 10:5 for Intrusive Thoughts that I've been dealing with in the past 2 weeks, I really needed it.

I don’t normally comment, but I had to because I keep coming back to this video and it has helped me so much. I had to thank you both so much for your beautiful hearts for Jesus and for your vulnerability! I lost my best friend of 18 years on October 4th, 2023 and I feel so much indescribable grief..She was one of those people who would go out of their way to come say hi to anyone she knew, even if she saw you across the restaurant she made it a point to say hey. She was a first time mama and left behind her 4 month old baby girl and all she ever wanted to be was a mama. 😭 she was so happy and finally got the baby she had prayed for after struggling with infertility and I just don’t understand God’s timing. She brought so much joy, laughter, and love to everyone around her. I know people say this about people they love, but she was truly one of a kind and she was more than my best friend, she was my sister and I miss her so much. It’s been so hard, I’ve had days where I have struggled with having faith and I’ve been angry with God because it felt like she was taken too soon, so thank you so much for the reminder to pray for faith and that there is a reason for this overwhelming grief I’m feeling and a reason for this storm.

when Angie talked about how every time she goes through a storm, she has the thought of that “my story can help someone else. “It reminds me of a story. I heard when I was young at church camp that’s always stuck with me. The pastor was talking about his experience with a child he had known for some time who was battling cancer and he had talked about how if it was anyone else they would have given up or been depressed, but the pastor said that him and the boy were having coffee once and the boys said that he thanked God for giving him the strength to go through this trial so he could help others. So every time I’m going through my own trial or storm, I always get reminded of that story and I’m always reminded to be thankful that God gave me the strength to go through this specificstorm because one day that exact storm is gonna be happening to someone else and I’ll be able to help them through that❤

Definitely pain increases your vulnerability to be transparent and empathetic if you are surrendered to God's unconditional love. I have two adult adopted children who moved back home a few months ago. We all come from broken homes and have massive "Mommy Issues". I can relate to them in such pinpoint, effective ways! The pain I have been through and am currently going through for this to be true cannot be quantified or described in words!

@@whatdidujustsay2094 1 John 3:1-9 King James Version 3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.1 John 3:10-18 King James Version 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. 13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. 14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

I have been struggling with God so much and haven’t talked to him at all during it, I’ve tried reading my Bible, I’ve talked to him for like 30 seconds saying I need help but not fully reallt speaking to him. The points you guys brought up was such an eye opener to me. I always go to other people for advice rather than God and that’s not okay. Thank you so much, seriously. I haven’t had the strength to open my Bible for a long time or even watch you guys (which helped me a lot in the past) and I’ve found myself going back to my worldly ways but this opened me up to what I should be doing and how I should be treating my situation. I grew up in christian, it not all sunshine. As 14 year old, I went through hardships and storms! I am so grateful for being in christian household as they gave me the tool and the only tool that will help Jesus. But yep God uses everybody. I think God don't create a perfect christian, I feel like kids that are being raise in christian household will be put in hardships trials , so they can see that they parents are right. That he is the only tool, the way and the truths.

I love how you guys break things down and then use scripture to show us exactly what it means in the Bible. I needed to hear a lot of things that were talked about in this episode. So thank you again, and god bless 🤍🙏🏽

"Speak life" so beautifully said, it brought tears to my eyes🥹 I struggle so much with those intrusive thoughts & anxiety which lead me to act in the moment and hurt those around me. Later on, I feel terrible but God is so loving, patient & forgiving❤️‍🩹 I'll just let him keep working on me in this period of isolation.

Love y’all keep up the good work. Y’all’s faith is beautiful ❤ I just wanted to make a quick note on the being vocal comment when it comes to prayer. God knows our every thought so when praying in private there is no problem with a silent prayer. I only pray out loud when I am praying with other people. I have daily conversations with Jesus throughout the day and they are all internal. My morning and nightly prayers are just a long conversation in my head. I have a very creative and vivid imagination so this is the most natural way for me. It’s a personal preference but just wanted to get that message out there for people that feel awkward talking out loud when praying in private.

I like what you said. About healing yourself. For 7 1/2 years I’ve tried to do that and no matter what I do in the natural it won’t work.Jesus told you turn to him and then you would be able to heal yourself😊 so true I’m learning that now.
