wow...thanks for concisely tying these concepts together... is this what orthodox teachers would consider a direct path from the older movement called the Emerging Church (Brian McLaren et al) certainly not Christianity. Praise God for His truth.

You guys are right. Some go against the trinity and Christianity but they will loose their followers if they don’t reform as I believe they will eventually🙏🫶👍

Any thing labeled woke , progressive, reformed ,the warning signs are there.[1Jo 4:1-3 HNV] 1 Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit who doesn't confess that Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh is not of God, and this is the spirit of the anti-messiah, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already. [1Jo 4:4-6 HNV] 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn't listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Well Jesus was a socialist in a certain aspect, he said sell everything you have and follow me, he definitely believed in having the bare minimum.

Not at all. Mistaking Him for a socialist. The Laws were given to protect private property and the future has Gods children in their own homes and gardens.

@@Ghee19 he said sell everything you have and follow me, then all the early followers of the gospel of the kingdom sold everything they had and lived in one accord. The reason was because Jesus was offering them the Kingdom and they were going to go through tribulation where they wouldn’t have been able to buy or sell anything anyways. Israel however rejected their messiah and so salvation went to the Gentiles without Israel and the kingdom was no longer being offered Christ will not return now until the fullness of the gentiles.

@@theeternalsbeliever1779 he didn’t just tell him that, he told all those who followed him to do that. That’s why In the book of Acts you see the believers having all things in common. Over and over and over Jesus says to multiple people to sell everything they have and they will have treasures in heaven because he was offering them the kingdom and they knew what he was talking about as the prophets have said. Their King would provide all they needed.

You are correct . The socioeconomic communitarian ideal that the ancient Christian Church strove to maintain was indeed what can only be appropriately defined as socialism . And yes , this communal ethos has a binding Scriptural imperative . Christ insisted on renunciation of wealth and elsewhere in the New Testament there are references and exhortations of equitable distribution of resources within Christian society . Fundamentalists , such as those featuring in the above video , claim that Biblical injunctions are obligatory , yet they always use sophistry and equivocation to avoid acknowledging the clear textual authority for adopting socialism ! @@BrockJamesStory

It appears your ‘gospel ship’ is listing quite a bit. For the record (from Scripture), He only gave that directive to one individual. God blesses some with visible prosperity, His intent is that they will be that much more generous with it, and not be stingy. His observation about the widow giving her 2 coins didn’t point out her ‘socialistic’ lifestyle. Suggestion,…begin watching some scripture-focused and gifted teachers/preachers and learn from them,.. Jack Hibbs, Gary Hamrick, JD Farag, David Guzik are fully available on various platforms. ✝️❣️
