What an amazing woman! Because of her witty actions, and bravery- not only did she save the lives of these people, but preserved life, all at a time of EVIL and TERROR!!! She was truly a godsend to the Jews and the people she touched. Even the nazi colonel that had helped her, he CHANGED because of her and helped save the very lives of the people he once sought to destroy. And they turned around and brought him into their home after the war. This is truly d” work of god!! ❤❤

Interestingly enough the Jewish couples son Roman Haller viewed the colonel as his grandfather and they had a very loving grandfather and grandson relationship with each other with Roman calling him Zeide which in Yiddish means grandfather. Sadly the colonel died when Roman was just 8 years old.
