Because C S Lewis wrote a Christian roman. Aslan is Jesus and Jesus blessed the children and says that they bleong to heaven and you should believe like a child. And Lucy is the youngest child. (Sorry for my bad english, it's not my first language.)

My dads a huge nerd and a Lutheran Paster. When I was little he told me a long time ago two men wanted to explain religion to children in a way that was easier to understand so they wrote Narnia and LotR. As a kid knowing that Aslan was Jesus was so exciting for me cause I didn’t get a lot of positive Christian representation in the fantasy media I loved (and still love) so dearly.

In Narnia, Jesus takes the form of Aslan. It is an integral element of understanding the story as it is meant to be told.

And in different ways. There isn't a clear cut of who is who outside of Aslan. Is the Ice Queen meant to be Judeus? Or the Jews? Well yes and no. Yes Jadius does a lot of what the Jews do but she isn't really meant to repseant the entire race of Jews. She is more like the rulers of that time period and the "devil" himself as in the Bible, Hell is depicted as a very cold and frozen place without the light of God there to warm it up. The siblings and any humans that do enter Narnia are meant to be humanity as a whole right? That's why Aslan sacrificed himself for Edmund right? Because Edmund's betrayal is meant to be humanity's sins right? Kinda, it is more in line with the lost of innocence at the hands of people you thought you can trust. Yes it is about sins too but some may also turn to religion to figure out their next plan of action too. The various races we see can mean a whole lot too. Could be representing angels, demons, the different ethnicities of humanity, and just general war. I do not think there are any major wars in the Bible. Hell, the Deep Magic could be the Holy Spirit but even that doesn't make sense because the Holy Spirit is never stated to be written like the Deep Magic is.

agree but not sure edmund represent judas bcs judas did not repent. judas suicided not forgiven, and it was said it “would have been better had he not born at all”. i felt that edmund represented mankind, period. all of us - born sinners bcs of adam and eve. we all needed redemption which sacrifice allowed.

They returned in the last battle: the final book, but are dead in the real world without realizing. They’re last trip into narnia opened through their real world deaths, except for susan who had lost her faith in narnia and loved the real world more.

She wasn’t dead. She still has a chance. Her journey may be more like Lewis himself. Childhood Faith, growing up and away from that, adult atheist, middle aged Born Again Christian.

For many reasons. As a religious person I would say Lucy's relationship with Aslan echoes the yearning of our hearts for God and relationship with Him. But also because Aslan represents a parental figure to her that she never had, one who gave His life to protect her. Being separated from such a being resonates and is naturally very emotional.

I don't really know why you're trying to argue with me since it's a pretty well-known fact that C. S. Lewis was inspired by the Bible when he wrote "The Chronicles of Narnia", meaning that the Bible pretty much informs the Narnia narrative, so yes, like it or not Aslan is Jesus.
