Hello and thank you for your valuable time and commitment, not to leave out all the other hard working contributors. "Bravo..." Inav is just "Awesome!!!" Was Excited to flash the new Inav 7 on a re-work of a Darwin 129 with a SB F7V2 Fc (made a custom target to remap CC pin for servo use to do the Camera tilt thing), new M10 GPS, Mateksys optical flow/lidar. "All is working beautifully", will try Cruze Mode this weekend. Yippee... 😁 Hope you and everyone has a great upcoming holiday! Thank you... Ps, love the hat, have to see how to get one here to Mexico (shipping can be "well challenging at times, they will really like or lose your Stuff, only sometimes though"

This is no joke folks. I just upgraded Speedybee F405 V4 to inav7, and successfully configured the timer/motor/servo mixing for a bicopter in Chinook configuration. Had it running smooth full duration flights within an hour of firmware update using previous settings from inav6. Fine tuning done with the phone app. ......and I never had to go into CLI !!

Major comes every 9 months or so. It's not our fault Betaflight slowed development so much and they have no major features to release anymore

Thank you for all of your hard work Pawel. I recently built my first 7" quad and have configured it with INAV 6 (I have never used BetaFlight or earlier versions of INAV). Is migrating everything from INAV 6 to INAV 7 pretty painless? Is there anything I should be aware of? Should I just erase before flash and start from zero? I plan on migrating very soon as I am VERY interested in the cruise mode and the simplified tuning. I am only hesitant because INAV 6 is working so well that I don't want to risk messing up my configuration 😂.

One thing I experienced is on the output tab it took several times to get all motors to spin. Three would spin then i would reboot and 2 would spin then i would reboot and 3 would spin.And finally all 4 spun.

Thanks for all the great work! After the 8.* release in the future, can/will bug fixes (or really minor improvements) in the 8.* branch be merged down into the 7.* branch too (if compatible) so that F411 users can still get the best of INAV? Or do the releases for every major version simply come to a dead end once the next major version is released? I'm sure a lot of analog fixed-wing pilots have F411 boards still in use because they're fine with old VTXs that don't need a serial connection.

Yes, F411 were very popular. New flight controllers of the same size like the F405 are quite more expensive now.

Hi Pawel, I just switched to 7, but I have a question, is there any indication when the Speedybee app starts supporting the INAV 7 via WiFi/Bluetooth? Because I build a Siccario, but PIDs are not great yet and every time I want to access the USB port disassemble the frame. Or is there any other way I can connect wireless to my Tmotor F7 pro? I am not able to find any USB-C extension cable which works with my FC, please help, thanks

Great release and great video. but I saw few bugs .... perhaps only on my board (Speedybee F405 wing). "save and reboot" button does nothing in the 4 PID pages in 7.0.0 Configurator and flight mode changes (accro manual horizon) are often very long to change on the flight controller when I move the corresponding switch on the transmitter ... and sometimes the mode doesn't change at all (it stays on the last mode selected in the LUA script and also on the telemetry page [TX16S] but I can see the "FM" telemetry information updated many times each second)

Oops, I must correct my previous comment, the ""save and reboot" button does nothing in the 4 PID pages" still remains, but for the second bug that was my fault, I tried to activate "Permanently enable Launch Mode for Fixed Wing" to see how it works ... so it was in "launch mode" and it stays in "angle mode" waiting for the launch ... so sorry. have a good day

hello, I have mamba f405 mk4 2022b, and my vtx (dji o3) is always turn off when I flashed the FC to inav 6.1.1 or 7 RC3, but it came back on when I flashed the FC back to betaflight... I'm sure that I'm using the right firmware and I've flashed 6 times back and forth between inav and BF, and the problem remains the same... can you help me?

Thanks so much for all the hard work on this project. I am currently a BF Quad user. I want to switch to iNav. Do you plan on producing a new series of iNav 7 Tutorials? In the mean time, which of your playlists would you recommend? There is a newer FPV quad playlist or there is a much older iNav playlist?

The INAV 5 and 6 series are still valid. I mean proces should be very similar. But yes, I think I will have to record a new series early next year

It supports everything as long as you have enought outputs to setup both mixers and connect everything

I use 7 RC3 with a VTOL. Can i copy my DIFF into the final 7.0 and it's all good? Of course everything will be checked again before the flight. Great work on iNav 7 😊

Trying to upgrade from iNav 5.0 to 7.1… 5.1 and 7.1 configurators connect without issues. However when I try to flash, it just shows “ connected to: Com4 “ and does nothing… what am I missing?

Hi Pawol, thanks a lot for all this job I decided to try this instead of Betaflight. Recently I flashed INAV 7 Firmware to my Skystars F722 HD Pro4 FC. In INAV the target is SKYSTARSF722HD. I selected lates stable version and flashed firmware. But INAV doesn't detect anything except barometer so at the end it is not working at all. Is there some trick how to fix the problem? Thanks a lot.

Probably manufacturer put a different gyro. Make a issue on INAV GitHub and write down which gyro Betaflight detects

You will need a compass for RTH and all autonomes flight modes but not for acro and angle.

Kolego właśnie próbuję odpalić Dolphin FPV ze SpeedyBee 405 Wing na pokładzie i natknąłem się na dwa problemy. INAV 7 nie reaguje na drążki kotrolera. Używam Radiomaster pocket i odbiornik ERLS Radiomaster RP1. Radio binduje się z odbiornikiem. używam najnowszej wersji ERLS 3.2.0. W INAV w zakąłdce recivier wszystko ustawione jak należy (Serial, CRSF). Drógi problem to serva (ja się je mapuje )

You cannot use Glonass AND Beidou at the same time because they use the same band. So it's GPS and Galileo and Glonass OR Beidou.

DSHOT support and F405 v3 support - that is all I want to hear. Going from Betaflight to INAV, because, IN RTH WE TRUST! I want cruise, loiter, alt-hold modes badly. Being able to fly only freestyle with the "fall from sky if the radio is lost" feature is honestly boring.
