Much like the Pokémon games, Inazuma Eleven games were typically released as a pair of two or three games with each new entry, with each release of the game having a few pieces of exclusive content, such as Inazuma Eleven 2 Firestorm with its team Prominence (capt. Torch) and IE2 Blizzard with its team Diamond Dust (capt. Gazelle). This applies to pretty much all Inazuma Eleven games until Victory Road, with even the first game having some element of choice between the DS and 3DS releases! In this video, I'll go all the way up to Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy and list off EVERY version-exclusive difference in the interest if helping you choose which Inazuma Eleven games to play.
Hot tip, when choosing which GO games to play, you're gonna need to know whether or not you're gonna like this one guy called Bailong, because he's a significant character exclusive to Inazuma Eleven GO Light, Chrono Stones Thunderflash AND Galaxy Big Bang in that order lmao

One thing Tale forgot about Inazuma 3 is that Lightning Bolt Exclusively let's you recruit Apostles from the Sky and Bomb Blast let's you recruit Devil Army Z Whist Team Ogre attacks doesn't let you get either of them

There are also some exclusive connection map players in lightning bolt and bomb blast, mainly Ian flappible and Bernadette stoker, who are both really good

I'd make a case for Lightning Bolt and Bomb Blast over Ogre, due to Ogre being a ridiculously late superboss you'd have to grind a lot to properly use anyone besides Mistre and Eskaba, meanwhile Apostles of Sky and Devil Army Z should have plenty of time for competition routes

Exactly. I don't exactly get why the fandom considers Ogre as the definitive edition when it's lacking content that the other two versions have. Rather, Ogre is the third edition.

@@cyrussouth By definition, it cannot be a definitive edition if it's lacking content from the previous versions. That's also why the game is called IE3 Attack of the Ogre, it's the third entry of Inazuma Eleven 3. It does have some improvements but also loses some stuff. At the end of the day, all 3 versions are good and you can't go wrong with either.

One advantage for blizzard players: Icer ( a diamond dust defender) is exclusive to blizzard and she is one of the best players in the game, with charm up, decent tp for an alius player and great moves in frozen steal, aurora dribble and northern impact

I'm from Portugal and i bought the 3ds version on the last day of the Eshop, i actually didn't knew it existed until in the last few days i thought i'd check if they'd do some promotions and came across it xD And there is something preventing you from getting Axel and Shawn to level 100 in the second game, the level is capped out at 99🤣

My favourite game bc Baddap Sleed is cracked out of hid mind in this game and you get him early. Also later you can make him unstoppable with souls and miximax etc

One thing I do want to mention is the recruitment game for Torch is actuall so bugged in the english version of firestorm. I got basically dono-walled by him for over a month while my brother cleared Gazelle's recruitment pretty freely. It got so bad that he transfered over a near level 99 Gazelle from his game over to my squad and we still were getting cooked by his team LOL It honestly came down to Strikers level cheese where you need a shot to go off that would trigger burnout so he'd run out of TP and be able to just farm shots in. But still finding that 3 goal lead while having to get enough possession and shots on target to scam out the TP was NOT normal. I legitimately don't know why that recruitment challenge is SO much more difficult than the Blizzard version.

Clearly there are two timelines at play here. IE1 -> IE2 Firestorm -> Chaos Match -> IE3 Lightning Bolt -> Dark Angels Match -> GO Light -> Zero Match -> CS Wildfire -> Children of the Night Match -> Galaxy Big Bang -> Space Rankers Match IE1 -> IE2 Blizzard -> Chaos Match -> IE3 Bomb Blast -> Dark Angels Match -> GO Shadow -> Zero Match -> CS Thunderflash -> Children of the Night Match -> Galaxy Supernova -> Space Rankers Match And finally, Team Ogre Attacks is its own little weird world.

@@rebecaeanny5560 Nah you should pick depending on the teams in the versions. There is no „real“ timeline here, though this comment does get right which versions probably are intended to be played after another, it does not really change anything as far as the story goes. The only real timeline is the official Anime, which has most version exclusives as important characters.

Team Ogre attacks being its own thing makes sense since Team Ogre tries to change the past by trying to defeat Raimon in the Football frontier finals, replacing Zeus, at least that's what happened in the movie

@@Jurre0706 if you farm games like chaos you can get there fast. But yes i think that most people just cheat bc after level 60 it becomes a drag

Yeah true, Torch and Gazelle mainly just talk to each other, but Sanctus and Destra do have I think two exclusive scenes before beating the game (did forget tho)

I feel like for the anime firestorm and go light are the canon but for the games blizzard and go shadow are canon since in the anime we see nelly as his wife but in chronostones in the games we see the shadow postgame team leader and that could only work out if shadow was canon for the games meaning mark married cammilia in the games

Just want to add some notes for the in-depth people out there: While Tale does sum up generally most of the version exclusive differences in this video. He did leave out some bits like competition route teams (e.g. GO Shadow has The Sundancers and GO Light has The Sick Offs), version exclusive equipment and items (e.g. Werewolf Boots/Vampire Boots) and various competition route reward differences in which Tale covers in his competition route guide videos. 98% of version exclusive stuff is tradeable, even the W-Gene and V-Gene in GO 2! There is also one key piece of information regarding IE 3 and that is the fact that in Team Ogre Attacks you are unable to get the Devil/Angel players. While they are tradable Bomb Blast and Lightning Bolt, you cannot get them in Ogre without hacking. So you get access to 11 more players in BB/LB and they’re generally considered better than Ogre’s players in the META. (Nenel, Arachne, Wenel, Ekadel and so on) - You do miss out on Bash Lancer and Radd Ischer but those 2 have just as good if not better alternative options anyway. So this kinda makes Bomb Blast/Lightning Bolt the better version for competitive play!

a month late and i think the most important thing for IE3 is the exclusive player bunner for thunderflash, which for those who dont know has all the forces in the game, making him the most essential player in a competitive setting

9:54 Funnily Enough, even back when Lightning Bolt and Bomb Blast were Japanese DS games, they had those three moves within their code. If you used an action replay to give yourself 99 of each move, you got those three moves(And more, you also got all the Ogre Attack exclusive moves). Which you could put on your character and use, animation and all. This was most likely due to Level 5 making the games Ogre Attack compatible from the start.

great choice on the thumbnail ;) Also I feel like the IE2 marketing and the title song looked like it was setting up a rivalry between Axel and Shawn. Especially with them running at each other and then colliding. Whilst now I know it was hinting to crossfire, I didn't understand this for years as crossfire needs the Wi-Fi download which I never got until a few days ago and I hadn't watched the anime. also versions I would choose/chose first Firestorm, Team Ogre (or bomb blast between the first 2 versions), Light (but after this video I should play shadow at some point), Thunderflash and Supernova.

After watching the video i wanna say why i chose my specific versions of the games when i originally played them English IE 2 blizzard - i knew who axel was but no shawn so i thought he was something new, i love gazelle and icer is bae so this just added to my decision IE3 i got lightning bolt...cuz lightning/electricity is my fav element IE go light (japanese version) - hakuryuu > shuu IE go chrono stone thunderflash (japanese version) - again electricity/lightning also i like vanfey over gasha IE go galaxy supernova and bigbang brought together - i played bb first as a trial as my first japanese game ever and then supernova cuz thats what i actually wanted to play since i like purple guy over yellow dude, also the extra 11 had gazelle so i had to

im sorry, but how is nobody saying anything about him saying shadow opening was objectively better? this may be coming from a bit of a biased perspective as go light was the only game in the series ive ever played, but my friend had shadow and i may or may not have got massive speakers and a cord that would plug into my ds so that i could hear the light opening over shadow. i had to make sure that i wasnt just being dumb when i was younger, so i looked up both of the openings, and i literally couldnt listen to the shadow opening the whole way through, while i may or may not have had light playing on repeat for 20 minutes.

Didn’t Firestorm and Blizzard both have different intro scenes (title screen video’s that played) I know that in the firestorm one it starts by raimon winning the ff, while in blizzard it starts with mark standing in a field I think?

Hi Tale, I recently picked up the patched version of Supernova after watching your playthrough. I finished the game and I'm trying to recruit Bailong and some of the other Big Bang exclusives. Is there any possibility you could maybe make a quick guide on where to find all the pal pack cards are for these characters?

Also a Major Flaw of the inazuma eleven games is that it does separate the games into 2. On the whole the games would be better if they were just 1 game instead of 2.

Rare opinion but I kinda like the two versions, characters like Torch/Gazelle and even Bailong/Tezcat would probably not exist if not for that, and some of the exclusives wound up as favourites of mine

No. That's something Tale forgot to mention. Yes you can still face Army Z and the Apostles in Team Ogre Attacks' postgame and Competition Routes, but Scouting them in that version is not possible.

8:23 Funnily enough, Spectacle Crash is in no one’s moveset in IE 2. William Glass only gets it in IE 3, meaning it’s 100% version exclusive unless you trade the move over of course.

10:10 I just want to give a note: While you do get some great rewards they do indeed host the rarest drops in the entire franchise as well as being only accessible under very specific conditions. This Tournament mode is the only way to get the move: Prime Legend by playing the Lv99 Infinite TP Ogre/Angel Cups with 8 specific players on your team and your team’s TP doesn’t heal. Word of advice, don’t borther trying to get these rewards(a.k.a Prime Legend) as I’ve played 600+ matches and it’s still not dropped. I managed to pick up some High Voltages along the way though lol.

18:49 AND THAT’S WHERE YOU’RE WRONG! Shadow is actually the canon version of the games. In Shadow, the forest pitch that you play Ancient Darkness on is there while in Light it is instead a ruined wall and some trees that you have to walk around. In both of the GO 2 games, the forest pitch from GO Shadow is there and it also specifically does not state who Mark is married to! (Inb4 divorce) So unless they’ve somehow managed to convince Tezcat to bulldoze and chop down parts of the forest to build a large flat rectangle that was somehow identical to a pre-existing one in an alternate universe, GO Shadow is officially the canon version! It’s a pretty hidden piece that I timelined up while thinking about which games has the canon route of things.

@GabitzuV that was the one thing I couldn't narrow down easily, but usually exclusives from one pair of games tend to not be exclusive in the next entry, so I wouldn't worry about it much. Obviously all the players of the exclusive post game teams are only found in those versions at first tho
