Par un froid glacial, les pompiers du Service incendie de Montréal ont été appelés à se rendre sur la rue Saint-André 100 pieds au nord
de la rue Ontario. À cet endroit, le feu faisait rage au troisième étage à l'arrière du bâtiment de 3 étages.
Une deuxième alarme a été nécéssaire pour venir à bout de l'incendie qui heureusement n'as fait aucune victime.

In freezing cold, firefighters from the Montreal Fire Department were called to go to Saint-André Street 100 feet to the north
of Ontario Street. At this location, the fire was raging on the third floor at the rear of the 3-story building.
A second alarm was necessary to put out the fire which fortunately caused no casualties.
