That is probably THE most perplexing tabletop penetration I’ve seen. Beautiful prop

The very narrow borders, the fact that all four panels are penetrated, and the complete removal of the glass at the finish, make this a real baffler even for those who know how the usual "penetration frames" work.

A quite convincing demonstration that the passage through the hyper-dimensional tunnels between the wooden plates is independent of the material of the passing object - and that the emitted energy might have an influence on the spinning time of tops ;-). You present a very elaborated routine with much emphasis on the details. The music and the reference to "Inception" add a lot to the atmosphere. That is magic entertainment at its best!

Love this love this! One of the best penetrations! And the spinning top made this a two ring circus! Your videos are awesome SImon!

I agree that this is one of the best penetration effect out there. Thank you again for your kind feedback!

A very nice presentation, Simon! Using that spinning plate was a nice touch! One question about the video quality, though. This video is presented as HD, but it looks like it has been upscaled, as it is quite clearly not recorded in HD. What kind of equipment do you use to record your videos?
@simcoscor14 жыл бұрын
Thank you Øyvind. I made my videos from my (old) laptop. The software I use is Cyberlink Youcam 8. I know the quality isn't very good. I've never searched for better alternatives... What would you recommand?
@mroek4 жыл бұрын
@@simcoscor1 I think at least you need to use a different camera, perhaps you have a modern smartphone with a good camera in it, or even a digital camera that can record video? The software you mention seems to be targeted towards videos recorded with the webcam, so you probably need to use a different software to be able to import videos made with other devices/cameras. If you are using Windows 10, you can even edit videos with the built-in "Photos" application, but there are also loads of other free video editors. Even very advanced ones, like DaVinci Resolve (which I use, but there's a steep learning curve). Your presentations are way too good to be somewhat spoiled by mediocre video quality. :-)

Thank you for your advice Øyvind, if I make another video in the future, I might look for a better camera!
@simcoscor14 жыл бұрын
Hi Øyvind, just wanted to let you know that I have listened to your advice and bought a webcam HD that I used in my lastest video. Not 100% satisfied, mainly because it is wide angle (fisheye) and I cannot change this default set-up, but for $60 I cannot complain...

Very smart to use two different pins and look like tugging both tails when switching sides. Much less obvious than the original single pin demo

Fantastic performance Simon! You really overthink every move, and the use of different items to penetrate the glass makes it a joy to watch! Bravo! No .... bravissimo!

I am *really* not a fan of glass/plastic penetrations. I'm still not, BUT I am a big fan of this penetration. It sets the standard for all penetrations. I am not concerned about how it works. I'm an old magician, and I don't want to ruin things by finding out how this works. I would buy this, but I said, "I don't want to ruin things...," so I'll have to buy it just to have it. Then, I'll just not read the instructions. I'll just do it w/my eyes closed.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Burton. Glad to hear that you like this penetration effect more than most. I do, too!

Burton!! How are you? It's been a long time and I don't know if you remember me. It was about 30 years ago you popped your head around the corner at Jack in the Box in Fort Collins and showed me "real magic" you're the reason my stage name became "Nate Swift" and would love to connect with you again. I hope you are well my friend. Simcoscor, thank you for pointing out the post to me!!
@burtonfuller58543 жыл бұрын
@@Nateswift2010 I was thinking of you the other day. I was going through my magic, looking for the Gypsy Curse, and I couldn't find it. For some reason, I thought of "Nathan Swift." What's up? Doing shows? I did one at the Cliff House in Manitou recently. I'm in Colo Spgs -- you still in FC? My number's in the Colo Spgs phone book. If that doesn't work, we'll try something else besides posting our emails here.
