"Pounds or Kilograms?" That's a sure sign of a crew who's seen it all (or too much)

Awesome Video! I have been on Several Dozen Vehicle Accidents and have Many a Time called for Med Flight aka The Bird. Lost a Good Friend of Mine in a Fatal ATV Accident He was Involved in. He died in The Med Flight Helicopter as It was Taking Off. That was One of The Worse Accidents I Have Ever Experienced in My Career.

I was driving home from Manitowoc and seen this. I pray everyone is okay. I seen that booster seat/car seat in the middle of the highway and tears instantly. God bless them and all those who helped. Any updates?

God I Love the sound of them, there's nothing 5hat makes a Paramedic feel better than to hear them circle before landing. To many times I've been at horrific accidents, and with everything happening, the medic air vacuum are delayed in getting called. Any EMT or Paramedic, Fire, and Law Enforcement including our Comm's Specialists, can ask for them, it takes 10 to 15 minutes for flight checks, and costs nothing unless they transport. The Golden hour may be what saves this person's leg, or their life. All of US know our Comm's specialists, when you hear their tone change you can tell how serious the call really is, if our State Trooper's are on scene, or the Sheriff's Depart, you hear the Comm's Specialist, tell the, to step it up. That's because someone understands its serious. Depending on If we can hear their tones change right from the beginning, you can ask for them to lift off, saving ten to fifteen minutes. I'm telling you utilize our Comm's Specialists, they know when it's serious, I hate the computer voice, the one that you can't tell if it's serious or not. Don't forget to make sure to use eye protection and do a quick look, for loose debris, and if there is a lot of sand and gravel, don't forget to protect the patient, and any open wounds, or fractures where bones are sticking out. If ya use a sheet, make sure you know it's not going to fly away or get caught in the rotors. Stay Safe out there First Responders, and thank all your families for allowing us to do the Job. One last thing, I know a lot of Medics who have been around know what dead bodies smell like, to those whom don't, or is fairly knew, go out and buy yourself a small jar of Vick's, any First Responder should carry a small jar of it, including Law Enforcement, and even Fire. We do welfare checks on people, occasionally we'll find deceased people. And please don't keep this to your selves, pass it on to your people. I met a crew the other day, they've never thought about using Vick's. They just suck it up, it's amazing how a smell won't leave your brain, and as soon as it does, the next one brings you right back to the first one. A dab under each nostril will trick your brain into smelling the Vick's. It works well, God Bless and stay safe out there!

Probably, while driving 95 in a 70. Pretty bad when the cable retention system never gets a chance to work because your SUV fly's over the top of it.

There isn't a cable retention system in that spot on the highway. Just an open median
