I ran a sale for Black Friday, then one for Cyber Monday. Just a trickle and lot lower sales than I had expected. Consistency in sales is HUGE. October was pretty good, but this month a lot lower.

Sales and coupons are a lot like pouring gasoline on a fire that's already burning, they really only make a difference if there already was a fire if that makes sense. If you weren't selling a ton before running them, then they probably won't make a big difference. You may not have prepared well enough for what actually sells during November. The types of things that sell really well are couples matching shirts, family matching shirts, couples matching Christmas sweaters, and ugly Christmas sweaters. I typically recommend having a few hundred Christmas designs in your shop for this time of year in lots of different random niches that you have seen bestsellers in like Science, Sports, Animals, Specific Destinations etc. Because you never know which designs are going to take off and be your bestsellers for the year. Now I'd be focussing on what holidays and events are coming up 8-12 weeks from now and designing for those, it really pays to be early to things!

Would you take a single design and create an individual listing for a black tee, white tee, etc? This is the first year I've really added POD so I'm still learning :)

Hi Cassiy! Thank you for all of the work that you put into these videos and bring them to use. I have 2 questions bc I can't remember the video in which you already answered them. 1. Do I raise my prices in Printify and then create a sale on Etsy for the T-shirts and sweatshirts? 2. When I look on Printify for the shipping cost, I do not see it so I do not remember how to do the shipping prices when they as for it on Etsy. Extra question. I purchased your Profit calculator, when I add cost and prices for is a $8.00 low profit for a 36.00 sweatshirt. Suggestions from the community are helpful as well.

I appreciate the tip on changing the coupon code names. Changed mine right away. Haven't had anyone use them yet. Had sales going and got an infringement on something that hadn't sold. Took down all the ones that were similar so basically starting over. Then Etsy put a reserve on the money in my account. This happened Black Friday, of course. Took a little break and getting back to it. Thanks for the video.

heyy so i just set up my first etsy store and thing are going great so far with it. one of my listings is some stickers which i've priced at £2.50 each. there's 5 different variations of stickers and i'm interested in putting a discount on a full set of the stickers. since the stickers are £2.50 each i was thinking of making a full set of them for £10 (which i believe would be 20% off) do you know how i could go about applying that discount to just the full set of stickers on that one specific listing

I have a question though... if you adjust your abandon cart while a sale is on, what happens when sale ends? if you change code back to original amount do the customers that received the email while sale was on still get the higher discount they are expecting or does it only allow them to get the amended lower rate because you changed it back after sale? Hope that makes sense....

If you sent someone a coupon for a larger amount and now you want to change it, you can deactivate that coupon so they can no longer use it. But you can't go ahead and send them another one if that makes sense, it's all automatic.

My shop is less than 2 months old and only has 3 sales so far. What is your opinion of having friends and family buy (assuming they are willing to) to boost the conversion rate and also leaving positive reviews. I personally havent mentioned my shop to anyone I know personally yet because Ive wanted to make sure I could get others to buy my designs. Also with a newer shop, did you wait for customers to leave a review or did you send an email and kindly ask if they could leave one?

If I run a sale for 25% on my entire shop and send a discount offer for 20% to people who favorited my items, will they get a 45% off total of 45% off? Thank you so much :)

You may not have had them set up long enough by chance? Here are a few of the rules around these coupons * Buyers only get sent these emails once or twice a week, so as not to seem spammy. * Only items added to carts, or favourited after the campaign commences are included. * Cart items must have been in the cart for at least 48 hours before they can be included in an email. * Favorites must have been added at least 24 hours before an email is sent. * Most importantly, only buyers who have opted in to receiving Etsy Promotional Emails will actually get an email.

Hi, thank you for your videos, I have a question, most sellers offer discount , which is visible on listings when customer search for items to buy, but here is the problem, if I setup discount for previous shoppers or for abandoned carts, this will not work because etsy allows just one discount code. I have discount + free shipping, guess I can not use any of strategies etsy is pushing us to setup. Any solutions?

Help! Please and thank you in advance! I don't understand what I did wrong. The first three listings I posted turned out different than the next two listings. For some reason the first three do not offer the drop down options for choosing size and color. The next set of listings did. I only realized this after I posted all 5 that the first three were wrong. I've tried multiple times to edit the listing in Etsy and re-publish it in Printify to make sure all the first three listings get size/color options. From the time you made one of your videos I think the setup or layout changed a little when it comes to the size/price/quantitu/sku section and the variation sections. What am I not doing right? Is it a better idea to have multiple Etsy shops if you do or have multiple types of items? One KZfaqrs said for POD it would be a shirt and sweatshirt shop, then a mug shop, etc. and I also have my handmade shop but I have my graphic design pieces in it too as I only have about 36 total items in there currently. Can you please also do a video on budgeting? How would you record expenses & profits, and what expenses & profits are important to record? What‘s important for us to always keep track of, in order to make taxes less stressful? I know that you’re offering calculator worksheets, but it would help if you could do a video on how to use these things. Hi Cassiy, My shop was finally getting momentum and big increase in sales, especially with one custom item. Everything was processed in a timely manner but Etsy emailed and said they are limiting visibility for the shop because they are worried things won't ship on time (but this is out of my control since I am using printify) . Has this ever happened to you? do you know if I need to change all my processing and shipping times on bestsellers? Thank you so much for your content and information! :)

Is there a way to edit or delete sales? If you consistently run 48 hour sales, do you have to keep using a unique name for each one, and do they still appear in your stats forever? This seems like unbelievable clutter for what I believe is a pretty popular strategy for many sellers. Thanks Cassiy.

I just made my first sale and I’m very excited! But I just looked at the finances and discovered after taxes and fees I lost money! Not sure what I need to do besides raising my prices. I feel like they’re already to high! Thank you for your channel.

Definitely raise your prices or charge more for shipping if you are losing money. Your competition has to be making money somehow as well so I’d do more research in what your competitors are charging. Actually go into their listing and look at the variations and the shipping charges to see what their total prices out the door are for their items. Never be afraid to make a profit and charge what you need to to make money!

@@CassiyJohnson I've done some of that and many people are charging very low prices with higher shipping costs, but still less than me. I'm doing Shirts at $19.50 but they cost me 12.95. Ugh. I will look some more. Thanks so much for responding. I'm freaking out a bit...lol. I also just found out my sale came from an outside ad which I knew nothing about, so I was charged $3.77. Should I opt out of those.? I didn’t know that was happening.

Thnx Cassiy, i watched your tutorials over and over, and got everything rdy to start my store, now im just waiting for my bank to send over my business bank account card over and some other legal stuff so probably gotta wait for like 7 more workdays before i can Actually start, kind of a pain in the ass tho haha xDD

It's a pain to get started in the beginning but take this time to be doing research and making designs, that way when your shop opens, you are ready to roll!

Hello, I just started the beginning of this month. I've made a few sells. Today I got an email saying 75% of my sales funds are in reserve, but will become available for deposit when your order ships with tracking or after 45 days. They Most have tracking numbers so I'm really confused by that. I use printify for my print on demand. Why is that? Do I need to do something different? Thank you

Hi Cassiy - loving your content! I'm just getting started with Etsy and POD - when you run a sale in your Etsy shop, does that mean you have to edit the prices in Printify to match the sale prices on Etsy? Or do you keep your regular prices on Printify?

You only need to update your pricing within Etsy! You are correct, Etsy charges the customers and then Printify charges you the cost of the item and shipping. Printify's price and Etsy's price for the item do not need to match!
