What Is Dedicated Video RAM?
Video RAM (or VRAM, pronounced "VEE-ram") is a special type of RAM that works with your computer's graphics processing unit, or GPU.
The GPU is a chip on your computer's graphics card (also called the video card) that's responsible for displaying images on your screen. Though technically incorrect, the terms GPU and graphics card are often used interchangeably.
Your video RAM holds information that the GPU needs, including game textures and lighting effects. This allows the GPU to quickly access the info and output video to your monitor.
Using video RAM for this task is much faster than using your system RAM because video RAM is right next to the GPU in the graphics card. VRAM is built for this high-intensity purpose and it's thus "dedicated."

Dedicated video memory ko rigedit se increase karna technically possible hai, lekin yeh aksar recommended nahi hai kyunki yeh risky ho sakta hai aur kisi bhi tarah ke changes se aapke computer system ko damage ho sakta hai. Dedicated video memory ka increase karne se FPS (frames per second) boost hona possible hai, lekin yeh har situation me guaranteed nahi hai. Dedicated video memory increase karne se game performance improve hone ke chances tab zyada hote hai jab game ka performance pehle se hi video memory ki shortage ki wajah se slow hai. Agar aapke system mein kaafi video memory hai, toh usmein koi farak nahi padega. Zyada video memory se bhi game performance improvement possible nahi hai, kyunki game performance kaafi factors par depend karta hai jaise processor speed, RAM capacity, graphics card ki quality, aur game ka software optimization. Agar aapke system mein koi aur bottleneck hai jaise ki CPU ya RAM, toh aap video memory increase karne se koi significant improvement expect nahi kar sakte. Overall, video memory ko increase karna aapke system ke liye risky ho sakta hai aur game performance improvement ka koi guarantee nahi hai. Isliye, dedicated video memory ko increase karne ke bajaye, aap apne system ko upgrade karne aur optimized settings use karne par focus karein.

didnt work Edit: i still have the same dedicaded viideo memory.. before i have 512 on regedit and i have 8 GB ram i changed it to 1024.. after the restart i checked the Dedicaded video memory i still have 576..

Actually this method improves your gaming performance, but not that much that you can play a game at very high graphics if it wasn't playable earlier... Still you can try and check which settings give you the best quality and performance at a time.

I have 8gb ram and my default vram setup was 128. I changed it to 1024mb but after restarting my pc it 4000mb instead. I tried the game anyway but it was still slow motioned. I don’t think you can change VRAM setting this way, just through BIOS. This just changes the text and not the hardware effort

It shows ... A game's perfomence doesn't only depends on the VRAM... It mostly depends on the configuration of a GPU... for example Nvidia 4gb and 6gb GPU is better than AMD 8gb GPU.... and your CPU also matters... Which game you were trying?

@@MAFSTUBE7565 my PC is Hp pavilion 15 notebook pc and the specs are 1tb 8gb ram core i5 processor is 2.60 ghz I'm able to play GTA v smoothly with this but when I try playing FIFA 19 it stops at the Ronaldo start menu where it shows loading I updated my Intel graphics now is 5100 can't update more than that still can't play FIFA 19 just stops at Ronaldo please can you help me does it mean I can't play FIFA 19 on this system

It could be some other problems. If you can play GTA 5 then you should be able to play fifa 19. I'm not sure about your problem. Reinstall it or search for other tutorials on KZfaq

@@maryjaygomes4441 It doesn't increase the speed of your gpu just your gpu memory. Just like how increasing your ram won't speed up your computer, it'll just allow it to run more.
