Hey guys, in today's video, I'm going to be showing you how to increase the health progress bar on screen when you increase the player's max health. In this example, it will be when I pick something up. However, you can do this however and wherever you want to.

Hi, nice tutorial, it was very helpful. Just one extra tip I would like to give. In minute 7:00 you say that you have to change the position as well to fit the change in scale, but you can easily fix that by changing the pivot (the X value in this case) to 0, this way, when you scale the bar, it scales only to the right and there is no movement needed.

hold on....so i can get rid of the 'set render translation'? or do i need to get the 'pivot'? I've set the X on teh set render translation to zero but the bar shifts sideways that way. it'd be great if i could skip the translation because i cannot get the bar to stay in place, even copying the values from the video

@@NeverEverFaceTheDark Kinda late... But if you are still wondering the answer is yes, you can get rid of the translation logic. You'll need to go to the hud UI and select the health bar, in the details panel there is a "render transform" section with a subsection called "pivot". Default is .5 for x and y axis which is the center of the bar. Set X axis to 0 and it'll anchor on the left side of your bar, meaning as it expands size it will only expand to the right since the left is the anchor.
