We’re back in the English countryside to visit a huge abandoned mansion, stacked full of surprises.
A once grand home owned by people of note, now a decaying shell, its many rooms each filled with rare antiques and years worth of hoarding…
Outside, cars scatter the entire lot, from personal cars, to the remnants of their former business and a barn filled with all types of vehicles!

The kitchen clock still working after how many years abandoned? Fascinating.. This house seems literally like a film studio/warehouse.. From wardrobe, huge variety of props, storyboard materials, character Polaroids.. Wow!!

This one is amazing guys ! That 'Drias a bone' coat was made by R.M. Williams, a company whos premises was at Prospect, in South Australia- I had my first job there in 1965, in the office and the clothing (mostly leather) factory was next door. They also made saddles etc-everything for the farm folk. Its still in existence, but not in original premises. R.M.Williams is famous. I met Mr R.M. Williams many times- a lovely gentleman.

Judging by the name on the plaque at the beginning of your video this house belongs to the special effects supervisor known as John Richardson. He worked on WILLOW, several James Bond movies and Harry Potter too. Very interesting indeed.

I remember that movie "Willow", the one we saw the award for, wow! It's bizarre, I've noticed, how many successful people become hoarders. I guess, more money buys more stuff which ends up burying them! Quite sad yet fun for us to explore with you. Thanks Sam and Jess 🤘🤩🤘

When Jess showed that old man's skate, I thought, that looks strangely familiar. Then she said, made in Canada. I cracked up laughing because, yep, those were the skates we used to use to skate on Lake Simcoe when we would go to the cottage in the winter. It was 1967 and I was 8 years old. Even then they were old 😊

Wow, wow, wow, what an exceptional tour of what is possibly the best abandoned home in the UK well that I've seen and done by the best abandoned property guides there is within the UK. Sam, Jess you astound me with each and every video. You take me to places I'd never ever see without you 2 I feel so lucky to have found you when I did 3 years ago. You have in part been all that keeps me going I sit waiting for a Monday night just to see you and guess where abouts you are. And see the houses of the past and hope someone comes along to save the houses of the past and once again make them back to what they once were a home full of laughter and and hopefully full of love and joy. Thank you for all you do.xx

Mr. Waite... If I may be so bold? Do you have an illness that keeps you from living life fully? I ask because you wrote something similar to what I did awhile back. I live for Mondays to watch Sam and Jess present content I find exceptional. I have a terminal illness that keeps me simply existing. I just turned thirty years old and am homebound. If you are experiencing the same or something similar, I am deeply sorry. I do pray, if you don't mind I will pray for you. Much love, Annie.

@@anneheffner6389Hello Anne, I too am in a similar situation facing a health battle that I can only win for so long. I am determined to make the very best of the days or weeks that I may be blessed with and am trying to fill them with the few activities that I am able to do. For now, I am creating as many beautiful watercolor paintings as I can, reading the most delightful literature and poetry that I can find and watching explorers as they can take me to places that I have never been or seen. Hopefully, my artwork will be something my children and my grandchildren will find meaningful. Believing that is what keeps me painting. I shall pray for both you and Mr. Waite, Ann. Take care and know that my thoughts are with you. 🙏👩‍🦳🖌️

What a beautiful mansion! All the carved wood. I just am absolutely gob smacked. It just breaks my heart. All the priceless antiques that are just gonna crumble away to nothing. The estate could make a bloody fortune just on all the contents alone. One of my favorite explores for you guys. So interesting. I was just worried about you guys falling through the floors. Thank you so much for taking the time to point out the little details. I am just drooling over some of these pieces. I wonder if he had no children. Wow I can’t believe that Indianhead. I bet it was lovely when they were both alive. My guess is she died first and he just let everything go. Exactly right fuel pumps. This was just amazing. I found the contrast of nature taking over everything out in the barns, and the birds just chirping away kind of a brush between life and death. This was absolutely fascinating. Just breaks my heart. Some of those antiques were worth thousands that hand carved wooden Deities was worth a ton and also the cement statue, which wasn’t cement that was fertility goddess, I believe. Maybe not that would’ve been worth a lot too. And I can imagine that you guys had as much fun as we did. It must’ve been something to be there in person and see everything was just kind of frozen in time. You guys did a great job. Can’t wait to go to Instagram and see the still pictures Thank you so much. As always, sending love from California.💜🤗🤟🏻🇺🇸🦔

The people who previously owned that property were obviously into collecting all sorts. What a phenomenal find 😮 I would say the best ever for all antiques. The bottles that you said were medication was a drink that people have if their not eating well. It gives them all the vitamins, etc, that builds them up. It's so odd that all the scaffolding was left and workmens + ladys vans with tools. All the cars, fire engines, and bigger vehicles completely wrapped in trees and weeds looked like a scene from a zombie film 🧌 😱 😄 Great to have you back in England 🙂 fantastic find !! Xx

Fantastic house! The core of the house seems Medieval. The main stairs, the woodwork on the back door going into the larder (upper area of cellar) and that fact that the main reception rooms are on the first floor are typical. Not to mention the sensational dining room panelling and fireplace! (Although, they don't look quite old enough, so possibly a revival style?). It's so sad that the last occupant could not distinguish real value in objects and perceived value in ownership. Hoarding is such a strange affliction. The tri-pods that Jess pointed out are for Dumpy levels (the measuring sticks are behind them. Old school surveying equipment). Thanks a million for another great tour!

Whoa what a crazy place! The main room with massive fireplace and ancient dinning room table really blew me away! My impression is many families lived there, were born, lived and died there. Some traveled and brought back items from different countries, or they were gifts. Out of all the generations that lived there, it all came down to one man. When he did pass, his lawyer was in charge of the estate. Organized an auction or estate sale, hoping the money would go to renovating the mansion. But funds weren't available, and the project was stopped. People walked off the job for not getting paid. I'm guessing the family ran a number of businesses, and had their own garage to maintain all of the vehicles. I could go on. But I agree with "The Fearless Explorer," someone or more then one, trashed the place, probably shortly after renovation were stopped. It's to bad, there are collections in there that would be treasured and respected by new owners. Excellent explore Sam and Jess! You are an amazing team!

Very interesting explore Sam and Jess. You both have a laid back gentle nature that I appreciate. I will sub now as I also really enjoyed your video of that giant Chateau in France with the beautiful paintings in those grand bedrooms and huge private library. In the above video I just couldn't figure out why the construction vehicles were abandoned in mid construction with the scaffolds still up. If you mentioned your theory on this I may have forgotten it, so I put on my thinking cap and tried to come up with the most logical theory to fit the circumstances. You mentioned that the owner must have been a ''jack of all trades'' which looks to be true. So I'm thinking that he perhaps also owned and operated the construction company that was going to repair/renovate his own house. He then died and maybe had no close relatives or a will that could take care of the place. Theory number 2- There was a huge dispute with the construction company and they can now be found in the water under the floor! LMAO

39:50 that’s old surveying equipment, theodolite tripods and measuring staffs. I bet you’ll find a theodolite there somewhere 🎉

What an amazing jumble of an eccentric owner. I am inclined to agree with comment below that the owner was in the film industry and also was potentially a scary person if you were to cross him as I reckon the builders abandoned vehicles are due to the fact that he got very angry over their work or lack of and threatened them with a gun so they legged it. Those fire engines are a collectors dream.

A little history about that Driza-Bone leather coat. What is a Driza-Bone coat? Driza-Bone, originating from the phrase "dry as a bone", is a trade name for the company making full-length waterproof riding coats and apparel. The company was established in 1898 and is currently Australian owned and manufactures its products in Australia. The trademark of Driza-Bone was first registered in 1933.

The 2 wood carvings with 3 sheep on them, on the bottom of the big staircase rail and over the upstairs fireplace, look like they might be a family crest.

What an amazing place. With all the reno vehicles and scaffolding left and the farm equipment you found, maybe it was left behind when he passed away because he owned the companies? It's hard to believe that any company would leave their property behind, work trucks included.

Great explore, guys, but I feel deeply saddened by the endless waste. So much that was once useful, rendered worthless by neglect. Beautiful illuminated books all but lost. Spectacular furniture left to rot. Anything they could tell us of lives past, just fading into oblivion.
