Well, Phil wasn't running the machine in sensitivity 1 as he said, he was running it at 23 sensitivity... Recovery speed, however, was at 1, and the FE & F2 were at 9 for the first test, and 1 at the second test. Oh, and those notched round things you find at the beach: parasol sliders.

Recovery Speed!!!! Apologize everyone , that was a test I did on our group text, I accidentally was calling recovery speed .. sensitivity…. Merrill , go back and read the text after the video.!!!!! It’s a recovery speed of 1.

the token with the 'column' is a one fare token to the International Railway Co. in Niagara Falls. One side reads International Railway Co. while the other reads Good For One Fare.

Now that you have a properly operating repaired Equinox it’s probably going to feel like a whole new machine. I think you’re right. Stay with the Minelab coils. Also when I started wearing my Bluetooth Minelab headphone with my 800 that was when I leveled up! Good video as always. Phil definitely misspoke about the sensitivity setting.

My SIMPLEX and SNIPER COIL... I CAN'T go back to the OTHER coils BTW... I'm at almost 4oz of SILVER this year and didn't detect for a whole month because of snow and work.... SIMPLEX and SNIPER COIL IS SIMPLY AMAIZING... The SNIPER COIL IS the key... Slow and SEPARATION is EVERYTHING!!!

Jon is correct. It appears that Phil misspoke and said Sensitivity instead of Recovery. What I’m interested in is that when he turned down the Iron Bias down to 0, he lost the coin. That seems backwards to me. I only hunt with an Iron Bias of 0 with the idea that although I may dig a fair amount of iron, I’ll also dig any non-ferrous signals next to the iron.

FE and F2 do not run together at the same time. You are either using FE or F2. Also the "sensitivity" he kept saying was at 1 was actually the "Recovery Speed". He didn't get the signal from the 10" wheat cent because there was iron nearby. You need to set the Recovery Speed to at least 3 or 4 to get enough separation on a target like that with iron nearby.

Well done , really good stuff .Congats on the 14k , well deserved . 23:44 is umbrella slider (found loads here in the UK) , 34:50 looks to me a wheel weight (used to balance the wheels of a car) .Than you for the videos .

Lol. 😀. I can help with an identification here @23:40 that cog wheel looking thing is off a parasol / umbrella. 😀. It is what the spokes clip into and the hole in the middle is for location to allow the whole mechanism to slide up and down the main round shaft to open or close the parasol. 🙂.

Hey that's one of those old rare Little Caesar tokens from the days of yar, ah! 1790, it's a little expired, oh well, you did knock it clean out of the park. Congrads, and you get an at ah boy. I love coinage, I go nuts over old coins. I have to say though, the tips are the find of the day. A good day for old buttons, old buttons are cool, it was cool to see all of those sexy Merc Dimes on the rise guys. Man! you guys really kick butt!, the greatest Dream Team of all time. I bet the guy who drop all those merc is probably rolling over in his grave and saying, oh no my mercs! I drop my babies. You guys are the new Untouchables, you killed it! I just can't say enough on the finds, one of the more very, very I N T E R E S T I N G episodes. You guys can start your own antique coin museum just from this one outing, you guys are freaking me out!!! I know it's a lot to read and I typed way too much, but I do live near the Windy City, too much to say......It's been great Merrill, got my dose of sanity, Metal Detect on! Signed, Greg the Egg.

Every time you showed settings you showed both FE and F2 settings. Minelabe manual says "The Iron Bias FE and Iron Bias F2 settings profiles are independent. When Iron Bias FE is selected, the Iron Bias F2 setting has no effect, and vice versa. So were they switching between FE and F2? Thanks for the video I always love learning something over just watching digs like most videos. My favorite Vid of your which got me hooked was the Equinox ID Bible.

Phil’s settings are very interesting I had to watch it a couple times to see what he had done. He said in the beginning of his segment he had sensitivity on 23 and he never actually changed sensitivity he was changing recovery speed and calling it sensitivity then moving his iron bias. Why taking both fe and f to 9 with recovery on 1 it did what it did has he very intrigued and will play with some targets to see what mine does.

When he said he adjusted sensitivity to 1- he also said swing speed. The sun was glaring on his screen, but I think he was adjusting the recovery speed not the sensitivity. Can you/he confirm?

Ground BALANCE is EVERYTHING on my SIMPLEX. I thought higher ground BALANCE meant DEEPER. It's NOT... I've found 1ft pennies at a ground BALANCE at 45-55... It's so weird... TRUST THE NUMBERS THAT THE GROUND GIVES YOU IS MY ONLY ADVICE

He was saying sensitivity but I noticed he was actually in recovery speed. So when he said sensitivity at 1 he actually meant to say recovery speed at 1. This may have been noted already but I'm just saying.

Very interesting on settings, my buddy pulled a fugio out of a spot I pulled a KG2, I missed the spill coin with the 600 and he got it with the 800, guess there is a difference between the machines 🤔 I even had him put coin back in the hole, and my machine didn't acknowledged it was there ☹️ Guess we both got some learning to do 😄 HH Merrill, congrats on your spill and beautiful complete shoe buckle 😍

?? here as he had it in field 2 sensitivity at 23 his recovery was 5 but as to iron FE/F2 in 3 you can only use one or the other they don't work together you only use one at a time in the settings and in his vid he keeps saying sensitivity at 1 it was recovery at 1 this will confuse a lot new people :)

He said his sensitivity was 1 and then he said “still” 23. Was it his recovery that was on 1. I understand both iron bias were all the way up and then all the way down but I’m not sure of what his sens was in the beginning.
