How do you compact that thick a mat ? Compaction is key to longevity of asphalt . Over rolling fractures the mat .

We need this technology in the Philippines. Our roads are being resurfaced every so often because of mediocre standards and the workers are not that experienced.

The Barber-Green company of Aurora , Illinois invented the asphalt paver in the 1930s. They went out of business 1980, but these pavers are all derived from the original design. I still think that all pavers should be painted green, in their honor.

If we also could have been had such machineries in Garo Hills, each one of our road connectivity would have been smooth and non-jerking roads. The present road construction by so called NHIDCL from Tura to Dalu(NH-51)West Garo Hills of Meghalaya is not upto the mark as it is very bad to worse. May be due inefficient engineers of the company. But, look at the road from Jengjal to Shillong constructed by BS&CC is nothing tell about as it has not tumbling and jerking very smooth to travel. The road construction of NH-51 should have been allotted to most experience company like NHAI or BS&CC.

Wow never seen an Asphalt paver that can Pave both the Base coat and Top coat at the same time. Must be very careful not to mix up the Asphalt otherwise it would be a disaster. But certainly saves up a lot of time indeed.
