This is our final vlog from our recent South Island, New Zealand road trip. We encountered some very bad weather during our time in Takaka that impacted on our travels but we were fortunately able to visit the incredible Ngarua Caves in Takaka Hill, Motueka on the day we had to leave for Nelson.
These limestone caves were stunning and even included a skeletal display of the extinct moa. It's an amazing and informative guided walk through the illuminated caves and even on a rainy day, it simply added to the atmosphere.

For lunch in Nelson we went to Harry's Hawker House and ordered ourselves a bunch of dishes to share. Friendly staff, Asian-inspired flavours and 100% tasty.

Our accommodation in Nelson was a charming, beautiful and cosy heritage cob house. Our Airbnb hosts Amanda and Dale were friendly and so helpful. We had a wonderful stay. Super clean, very spacious, a well equipped space and definitely a memorable stay for us.

Our accommodation was also conveniently located about a 5 minute drive to the famous Pic's Peanut Butter World in Nelson. Definitely a must visit for any peanut butter lovers. The Pic's peanut butter factory tour is free, you simply need to book in advance on their website:

We wrapped up our trip with a short hike to the "centre of New Zealand" for great views of Nelson. We hope you've enjoyed our South Island series!
