It's amazing how man can create something that can fly and then fly faster than the speed of sound but what's even more impressive are the pilots who fly them. Pilots are the GOATS

I spent 4 years at Langley AFB with the 1st TFW/27th TFS as a Crew Chief on tail number 4125. Loved every day I spent on the flight line with this jet.

Being a USAF veteran (retired), I STILL LOVE the sound of jet noise and the smell of jet fuel. Twenty years went by way too fast.

To me this was the best aircraft ever made for it's time. Hope the new upgrades keep it functional for a long time.

I love the shape of an F-15. My favorite fighter jet of all. When I was in my early twenties, a couple of F-15 Eagles flew by over a "right-of-way" just a few yards from our house. They were flying so low that I could clearly see the pilots. One of the guys waved to me and I waved back. What a thrill, watching them fly by at near eye level. An experience that I will always treasure, as a "plane enthusiast."

As a 19 year-old in the summer of 1973 I was very fortunate to have gotten a summer job at the massive McDonnell Aircraft plant at the St Louis MO airport. My assignment had to do with the very first blocks of the then brand-new F-15. It was a real privilege to have had something to do with the initial production of this fantastic plane. It's hard to believe that I have completed my career and yet the F-15 is still in general use.

I can remember my parents taking me to see the planes here whilst on holiday at Newmarket, would have been about 9 years old at the time. I still remember the kind Lt who let us watch them take off from the side of the road. The noise was absolutely deafening, our 4x4 was shaking like crazy but it was an amazing experience! 😂

Thank you for posting. I worked on these F-15Cs when I was stationed with the 33rd FW, 59th TFS in the early 90's at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 59th was being deactivated and these F-15C's were transfered to RAF Lakenheath around '93-94. Great aircraft! I wish the USAF would get more!

I grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and for years enjoyed the daily departures and arrivals of F-15's with the 173rd Tactical Fighter Training Squadron stationed at Kingsley Field. Occasionally they'd leave under full combat power and the sounds, sights, smells, and the feelings in your guts can't be described. God, I love those airplanes!

It's hard to capture that sound on a camera. I was delivering lumber to a house at the end of a runway at Otis AFB in Massachusetts when 2 F-15's took off together a few hundred feet over my head. It was absolutely deafening. The earth was shaking, and after they left and quiet returned, i could hear these songbirds chirping, and i thought they could be thinking, "Do birds rule or what?"

We have the f-15 in Fresno CA. They fly in and out all day long. Still when I Hear them I look up. Very cool the sound of Freedom.

This brought back memories of 1971 when I first visited the UK and stayed with relatives of my best friend just outside of Lakenheath. Had my first pints of Green King ale while there. The F-15s did not use their afterburners and were not heavily laden, hence, in all likelihood not carrying any weapons. It looked like the entire squadron was moving house with the troop/personnel transports and tankers. When these guys use their afterburners on take-off -- now that is something to see and hear. Amazing aircraft the F-15.

I just “love” the F-15 Eagle, to me, it’s the sexiest bird in the sky. I’ve always wanted to see them get thrust-vectoring engines with canards on the front. This would give it amazing turning abilities to add to it’s awesome speed. F-15’s forever !!!!

I worked on the design of the F-15 air data computer in the early 1970s (using MSI TTL circuits - used 16-word scratchpad RAM memory!). The F-15 is still very relevant now almost 50 year later. Electronic upgrades have extended the service life of many aircraft - B-52, F-15, F-16, F-18.

It's absolutely the most awesome thing to see these do combat take offs in the desert at night with full afterburner.

Used to enjoy going to the American air shows. Good times were had by all. Burgers, beers and awesome flying.

In 1964 I was 13 years old, spending Summer vacation in Hampton, Va. My sister's husband was in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Langley AFB. Every chance I had I would go to his work with him and hang out in my favorite environment, a building directly adjacent to and very close to the flight line He was in logistics, supporting aircraft maintenance. Langley was the HQ of the Tactical Air Command, and also had a sizeable detachment of the 48th Fighter Interceptor Squadron assigned, operating F-106A Delta Darts. One day while I was reading Aviation Week magazine and observing the busy goings-on around the operations center, a pair of Alert 106's were scrambled and tore down the runway side by side at full military afterburner. This was the most awesome Air Force Base experience I had seen/head/felt while visiting Langley as well as Dover AFB previously. As the Sixes roared past the hangar entire structure and everything within it shook wildly. Dust was shaken loose from the overhead. Lighting fixtures swayed to and fro. Books and small items fell off shelves. The noise was absolutely deafening. And I loved every second of it! I could enjoy that sort of spectacle as many times a day as the air Force felt itself fit to order into action. Well, at least several per day. A mere seven year years later I was an avionics tech assigned to U.S. Navy Attack Squadron 147, which was flying A-7E Corsairs. We alternated locations between NAS Lemoore, Ca., TAD's to NAAS Fallon Nv and NAS North Island, Ca. and of course at sea on the USS Constellation with three Westpac deployments during my hitch. I definitely got nearly my fill of very loud aircraft sounds in that line of work. BTW, did I mention that I love being involved with military aviation? Regards, Rich P.

We retired this jet. I still love it. This plane can accelerate climbing straight up against gravity! Very impressive. It's thrust to weight ratio is crazy good. Must have burned a shit ton of fuel.

was waiting for a flight at the airport in St. Louis, and i guess the air national guard flies out within the airport, or right next door, but there was a big glass window that overlooked a runway and i got to see 4 F-15s take off. Damn skippy - the sound was f'ing incredible.

I was in high school in the late 70's at Lakenheath and loved watching the 111's take off and land not far from the lunch room. Teachers would have to pause their lessons when those monsters flew over. I just stumbled onto your channel and it brings back memories. We were raised at The Kings Head in Mildenhall and was wondering if you can you still get Abbot Ale? Cheers!

Glad someone confirmed these are "Cs"- I always thought those based at LN were F15E Strike Eagles & they're twin seaters.

My dad was I the Air Force 10 years and Civil Service 30+ years. Most of his career at Hurlburt Field in Fort Walton Beach Florida where he worked as a Liquid Fuel Maintenance Supervisor. He was in charge of fueling C130 Spectre Gunships and C130 cargo, Pave Low Helicopters. Eglin AFB is also there where they have the 33rd Tactical Fighter Wing. F-15s would do touch and go landings on Hurlburt Field runway. The flight line crossed US98. If you were not used to it it could scare the crap out of you to have a C130 Gunship or an F-15 flying 30 feet over your head.

I lived about 1 mile south of the east end of the Lamber field main runway (1950-1975). This is where McDonnel Aviation was. They would line up 8 jets and take off in pairs of 2 with a (very) slight pause after the first 4. They would break picture windows and crack foundations out of houses. The eventually moved an entire sub-division (named Doodles Dale) from the area.

Can only imagine how it would be in real life. next year (2021) there will be an airshow here in Denmark, and i'm looking forward to see/hear one of these fighter planes. Watching these videos is like watching the old Heinz Catsups commercials. The anticipation nearly kills ya.

Was stationed at Kadina AB On Okinawa Japan in 1986. Was in ATC Radar Repair and we had a GCA (nicknamed by the pilots Gonna Crash Anyway) Precision Approach Radar set that was at the midpoint of the runway and right next to it. Got a heads up from the tower on the radio that the entire alert squadron had just been scrambled and we were stuck out there until they were all in the air. Sixteen F-15's taking off two abreast (well nose to tail, can't get more abreast than that) full burners. And, as soon as the gear left the ground on one pair, the next two hit the burners. This was an emergency scramble (un-friendly aircraft on radar eighty miles out) so the burners stayed lit and they were at about a 75-80 degree climb. Hands over the ears... the ground shook until all sixteen was in the air and long gone. The best time in all my ten years in the Air Force, standing twenty feet from the runway!!! BTW... this is the first time I got to see the new props on the C-130. One hell of an upgrade for those old birds. Still remember for open house (locals could come on base and look around and at the aircraft) The AC-130' gunships left the week before and didn't come back until the week after. And, if any visitors came by and they were there and somebody questioned why they were painted all black... the answer was they had just been primed and were waiting for the rest of the camo paint :)

This is not immediate exhilaration as the Eagles don't fly right away, but I love the whole build up with the -130's and -135 appearing. Just day to day operations. Not everyone is a movie star. I love seeing all the parts and how each part makes the greater whole. This is a great video, but conveys nothing like what the guy filming experienced. I've seen pairs of Eagles launch 3 times in my life and I'll never forget them. I was close each time and the thrust made my chest throb. One hell of a bird designed back in 1970.

F-15’s Used to fly over my house everyday years ago.. Now it’s the Raptors... my house is under the flight path. 2 miles from Langley AFB... Sure do miss these jets 😢

Excellent camera work! Brought it all into full view. I was Pratt Whitney jet Mac back in 90s. Stationed at Luke AFB Az. Our Squadron of 20 F16s sometimes did 2 sorties per day. Other squadrons also had F15s. Same engine but 2 instead of 1. My time there in AZ was a never ending air show. Live it he smell of JP8!

Look up a f -15 viking departure. In St Louis they had to take off and be above 10,000 feet before crossing the airport boundary. No prob in a plane that can climb to 93000 in 3 minutes. That vid takes 33 sec. The gear has to be retracted before 300 knts, so they have to pull it up immediately after takeoff.

I was at RAF Mildennhall ‘6/84 -6/86 and lived 9 miles from the base. In ‘85, I moved into a semi quiet to write a Comm Security Education Program since I walked down the flight line and I knew what the units were doing at an IG Inspection... the city I lived at was a quiet are, never hearing planes.. until Reagan bombed Libya-we heard the loaded tankers departing, one after the other... And there was only small talk when I stopped for coffee-no one knew until it happened.

Would have been nice to see the run, rotate and take-off, we see the planes already in the air.

It is almost easier if they just taxi to Lakenheath on the public road. :) If you are standing at the other end of the LN runway, you are easily able to spotting all those planes of Mildenhall, which are climbe at the far end of the Mildenhall runway.

The sound was hardly great, but if you want a loud... awesome jet, have a couple Phantoms fly over you at Mach 1 and 100 feet off the ground! You'll understand what loud is! F-15s aren't close to that volume of noise!

104-0. I had the privilege of maintaining Eagles and turned a wrench on everyone of those Aircraft in this video. You think F-15's are loud? No way. Wait until you hear an F-35. The sign at the gate of Eglin AFB used to say "Largest MiG Parts Distributor in Southwest Asia".
