We revisit Envy Beach! Last time, Nicole found a small ceramic piece that she did not want to say a lot about until we returned here. That is because that piece turned out to be a lovely wee piece of a frozen Charlotte, and we hoped that we might find more pieces today! Well, Charlotte gave us the slip today, but Envy Beach (aka Levenmouth) was generous with the blues today! We also find more shards of Victorian dripping jars, and Nicole finds an amazing glass stopper with just a wee chip on it!
Back home, Nicole has Five Fun Facts about Frozen Charlottes to share with you and Craig looks back to the Scottish Origins of the Frozen Charlotte Story and gives an insight into the political, moral and religious periodical publications that were once common in the UK and US.
Envy Beach is turning out to be a favourite location... We're sure to return and hope you can come with us when we do.
Thank you all so much for watching and helping us to keep doing what we do!
Update on Scotland's restrictions:
Today's video was filmed on the isolated and empty shores of Levenmouth - aka, Envy Beach.
We continue to follow restrictions so that we can work safely, responsibly, and legally.
We are permitted to travel within our local authority boundaries to reach a location of safety and isolation. We remain committed working as close to home as possible, and we will not meet with anyone from another household, despite being permitted to do so. We remain entirely committed to maintaining social distancing for the safety of others and ourselves.
Our policies:
- Since March 2020, we have met with no one at all - and we continued to isolate even when restrictions were relaxed.
- We never film in a busy location - aside from maintaining isolation, we could not make restful, calming, or relaxing content in a busy area.
- Since March 2020 we have restricted our travel to distances that allow us to get to our location, film our content, and return home, without ever visiting local amenities, entering any buildings etc. This gives us a reasonable window to work in while also maintaining that we are not out for very long.
- We only film once a week, and we always do that mid-week. If we arrive in an area and people are present, we leave without getting out of the car.
Our policies are simple and entirely concerned with maintaining social distancing so that we can be safe and so that we can ensure the safety of others. We will continue to follow these policies fully, and we will cease outdoor filming altogether should government guidance change.
