Let's start our South African adventure with a SAFARI!
After a 20 hour travel day, we made it to Johannesburg. We were blessed to be joined by Tommy's parents for this adventure, Tom and Jackie. We headed to our Airbnb in Marloth Park. Marloth Park is a wildlife sanctuary situated on the southern end of Kruger National Park. It was the perfect place to stay because it was only a 30-minute drive to the main southern entrance to Kruger National Park and it has its own wildlife and boasts four of the big five. In Marloth park, you are able to walk around freely with the animals.
Kruger National Park is a breathtakingly beautiful wildlife reserve in South Africa. It has an incredibly diverse selection of animals and terrain and is world-renowned for housing the "Big-5". On our first day in the park, we were able to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, a leopard, and SO MUCH MORE!
