This is amazing. In America this level of machine was obsolete by about 1946. This machine is like a wringer washer used all across America before WWII.

Really good idea. Such a heavy blanket can wash this machine is a great achievement well done. This is really heavy dusty and simple. My new automatic Samsung machine was damaged while I was washing a blanket like this one. I wish I could buy one

Motor mount is of rosewood. Plastic body washing machines do not require this.

Это, похоже, достаточно умный ход. Метал оторвало бы от вибрации. Дерево хоть как-то поглощает ее. Резиновых втулок там ещё не изобрели.

Aquí en México también se fabrican y venden marcas tales muy reconocidas como Koblenz, Easy, Mabe, General Electric (GE), IEM, Regina, etc, y les llamamos como lavadoras chaca chaca, y ese tipo de transmisiones de trabajo con engranajes de pulso la mayoría antes manejaban que ahora ya son modelos viejos los GE y Easy y actualmente manejan con poleas directas aunque al decir verdad las del pulso de las lavadoras clásicas aguantaban más por su uso rudo de transmisión que las actuales. The Best washing machines are these with old technology, they surely last forever, are easy to repair and are affordable !!! Now a days here in USA they sell name brands such as LG, Maytag, Whirlpool, Samsung, GE, Electrolux with digital controls that costs between $650.00 up to $$1300.00 plus and will breakdown in a couple of years, very difficult to repair and to find replacement parts. The worst part on these new machines is that all these fancy electronics and motherboard are a great place for roaches to hide and flourish:)….same thing for fancy cooking stoves! Washing clothes were not an easy task in the past, it was a hard duty for mothers, I remember my mother sitting in the snow and mixing some hot water and soap in the laundry basin and washing them by hand then cleaning them with very cold water! every week, her hand was injured

that reminds me of a kind of washing machines that we used to sell in my family's business early 70's. another use... higher the speed then it could be used to extract the butter from milk 😉

@@jimw7916 well, i think we're arguing here, you should understand other people's cultures, India, Pakistan and arab countries have something called natural animal butter that is been extracted from raw milk. this video can show you something to be added to your knowledge. keep the milk in room temperature overnight in order to get the cream on top of it then mix it for 2 hours using any milk mixer. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y7-CdLaCuJinhWg.html

That moment when you realise there is no earth (ground) wire and instead they use a wooden motor mount to protect the user from electric shock! I want to see the gearbox being made - that would be very interesting.
