Enjoy dazzling gemstones, sparkling crystals and fabulous rocks at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show's Kino Show 2023! Kate and Jim visit the world-famous gem show for the first time, and share their journey in this first installment, which focuses on the Village Originals pavilion. From stunning amethyst that is twice as tall as a person to huge slabs of ancient petrified wood, the pavilion has something for everyone to enjoy. This is part one of Kate's video series on the Tucson show. Be sure to also check out her livestream videos from both the Kino show and the Hotel Shows. It's almost as good as being there!

I love kyanite and black tourmaline. I used to make bead jewelry and loved the big gemstone beads and those were some of my faves.

Tourmaline is great for absorbing negative energy and emf exposure. It is good to keep beside computers, or to wear a bracelet with tourmaline beads. I know there is also blue, pink, and green tourmaline.

Our fire agate hunt was incredibly windy! We found lots of white agates, and a few that I think might have fire. It took us a while to get our eyes adjusted to what we were looking for - but despite the wind, it was a fun day!

The big slab with all the brown, green, and blue colors= it is correct that the green is malachite. I am not sure about all the brown, but the blue is azurite.

With the price of diesel it’s really hard to drive out to there and it would be like 3.000 just in fuel pulling my 5th. Wheel plus campground fees? Oh well
