I'm a desert rat and have been going to southern Utah for 52 years, I LOVE it there. 😍 I've been most of the places filmed and could drive right to many of them, by memory. Glad you don't post the locations, youtube is ruining the backcountry, thank you. 👍

The contractor cap worked out very well for the price, and I'd certainly still have it on the truck if I hadn't had some partnership opportunities arise. As well as the contractor cap turned out, I am undeniably happier with the Topo Toppers camper. :-)

What I love SO much about your video compared to most other channels is the focus on the scenery and history. Other channels will spend 5+ minutes (sometimes more than once per video) at camp, explaining what they're cooking and other boring stuff. Yes, you have a touch of that, but they are blissfully short segments. Love it!😅

Yeah, I went back and forth on that, but finally decided to edit out several segments from this series that ultimately just didn't really move the story forward, and would've made the finished product prohibitively lengthy. But I very much appreciate anyone who appreciates my silly humor, LOL. :-)

this area wasn't' just under an ocean, it was under an ocean, a jungle, and a desert several times over. if you can find the right areas, there are shark teeth to be found. and as far as national parks go, just skip them unless you can hike in from an edge, they are basically being turned into NPS-curated amusement parks and concessionaires jam packed with tourists, shoulder to shoulder and ushered onto busses. forget about driving around off-road and exploring in most NPs.

New subscriber to your channel. Love the content. Your Truck looks fairly stock with a front bumper. Do you have any suspension, drivetrain work on that thing? I have a stock GMC Sierra that I’d like to get a similar camper for… I’ve taken it a lot of places so far just wheels and tires.
@softroadingthewest
@softroadingthewest 8 ай бұрын
It has a 2" suspension lift from Alldogs Offroad, and the tires are upsized to 33s from the OEM 31s for another inch. Drivetrain is entirely stock and handles the occasional obstacles I encounter just fine. :-)

@@darrenjohnson9030 KZfaq's automated ad placement drops in breaks approximately every 3 minutes regardless of the video length. I've manually reduced KZfaq's ad frequency on this video by well more than 50%. There are multiple segments here that are ~10 minutes uninterrupted (unless KZfaq is re-placing the ads breaks I removed). All the TV networks playing syndicated reruns of sitcoms place as many or more ads as the first time the show aired yet people watch over and over and over. Running this channel is how I (try to) make my living. I can't work for free...can you?
