that is NOT damascus...Damascus has become a marketing term when honestly it isnt, that is watered steel, which is the closest we have ever come to proper Damascus steel, but chemicly its not even close it just 'looks' like it but some years back some youtubers and metalworkers decided looking like it was 'close enough' and started calling watered steel damascus and it stuck.

That's not a crossbow, it's a fancy SPEAR GUN. Anyone that made the mistake of shooting a Spear Gun out of the water can tell you it shoots out just like an arrow. My compliments for re-inventing the spear gun.

Arrow gun, not a spear gun! Spears are usually the length of or around the length of a person's height! An arrow is at least half that length or shorter!

@@nicktechnubyte1184 Hmm did you even bother to google a speargun. Had you done so you would have discovered the average "Spear" length they shoot is about 30 inches which is roughly the same length of an arrow. Hell the shooting mechanism are identical. Just Google it if you don't believe me.

Actually you may wanna Google both again as the firing mechanisms are far from identical. The spear gun is closer to a slingshot in the way it operates, generating force by the stretching of rubber bands or in some cases pressurized air. The crossbow it the video clearly has two steel springs and derives it's energy from the tension caused by pullling between them, much like the prods of a crossbow. Of course, that's my humble opinion.

@@johnconnolly28 Have you ever tried to throw a spear in the water? Water enacts a great deal more resistance than air does. I bet you can't shoot that so called arrow gun in the water but I have seen first hand you can shoot a spear gun on dry land. You can shoot a dead on killing shot with a spear gun about 20 to 30 feet give or take. Why do you think there are so many accidental deaths of people dying from a spear gun accidentally firing in dry land. They are truly dangerous both in and out of the water. I am sick of this argument so this is the last time time I'll be responding to this topic. Merry Christmas.

i mean thats most rimfires. they all have an ammo type that they prefer. i use federal automatch in my custom magnum research switch bolt i may get a partial extraction once every 150 rounds. use it for steel challenge.

I audibly laughed out loud when this guy called .22LR a "reliable" ammunition. The only thing it has going for it is that it's dirt cheap. The clip they showed here with the Ruger MK IV even had a jam.

That because it's not meant to be fired semi-auto. Rim fired cartridges are better for bolt action rifles as semi causes issues. It's the best caliber for survival situations since its cheap and lightweight for both the weapon and the ammo. Perfect for small game to get food if stranded in the the wilderness. There is a reason most survival rifles are both bolt action and .22 LR.

@@adamhoffman519 all .22s have a prefrence in ammo baised on bolt weight, fitment and spring weight. i fine federal auto match and cci stinger run reliably. if you want great stuff elay/wolf is super consistent match grade ammo. much more expensive but elay is second to none.

That torsion crossbow looks amazing and it fires an arrow real well and is compact enough that you can use a standard rifle case for it. But the only problem with that is that when you go to draw the string back it makes a loud ratcheting clicking sound that you can literally hear for about 150 yards. And that's with human ears now imagine that with deer ears. I know because I have one built by Raven crossbows in Superior Wisconsin. The thing is marvelous. But...God damn is it loud! My buddy Chaz has one of those disc shooting rail guns and one of those Gauss rifles. The railgun if you get hit in the head with it will crack your skull but it will not kill you unless you get hit multiple times in the exact same spot. The gauss rifle if you sharpen the tip of the projectile using a Precision lathe. The ghost rifle can actually become lethal. I know this because he accidentally shot me in the ankle with it and the projectile went right through. Right in the main ankle bones between the Achilles tendon and got lodged in the bone on the other side.😳 So now I have two of those.😁

@@THE_LAST_WORD they don't come lethal you have to add special batteries transistors and capacitors to the gauss rifle to make it that powerful. One of my Gauss rifles was severely modified so that you can use the power of your house to theoretically make a 2-in projectile go halfway through a telephone pole. Honestly it's powerful enough to kill a golden retriever from maybe 20 yards away. They are lots of fun but I wouldn't recommend modifying it unless you are a licensed certified electrician. Which I am not which would explain the electrical burn on the palm of my left hand from an exploding battery.😅

Look if they can use .22 to kill alligators then a .25 will probably be enough to discourage someone at point blank which is the range you are likely to use that sort of gun it's a derringer with delusions of grandeur

the bolt has to be open and the upper receiver is shifted to where the hammer can't engage, so it's still safe.

That thing looked wicked. Too bad I chose literally any other weapon. Shots per turn trump's damage at distance when it costs ap to reload and fire when the other ten guys are in range with their SMG and auto rifles.

@@ricknerinfantry The rifle being capable of a 1,000 - 3,000 yards is 1 thing, but the shooter being capable is a whole nother ball game. Long hours of practice is what it takes.

@@ricknerinfantry I like to use a 9.3 mm which is a common Euro hunting bullet, but I don't use the common Euro 9.3 casing. I got a rifle chambered in 9.3 x 74, which is bigger than a 30-06, 250 grain hollow cored bullets with a pointed Tungsten penetrator tip like on a .38 Super whiz down range at 3400 Fps from a 36 inch barrel with a 1 in 10 rate of twist.

@@ricknerinfantry A thousand yards is easily in reach, especially on hogs. They see their buddy just fall over while the group is eating and wallowing and 1 by 1 they fall. picked up 130 in 4 hrs like that.

There is giant misconception about Leon´s Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII and that is that this weapon was never meant to shoot projectiles.

Let me help you, the cartridge/bullet on Squall's gunblade is just make the blade Vibrating or release fire element (magic)

I'm pretty sure the last one is a concept art design for skin for an exotic hand Cannon in Destiny called Crimson as the gun has a bayonet in its original design.

yeah about that last gun it did come straight out of a video game, its an exotic gun on Destiny 2 called the Crimson, just colored differently the other one is more than obviously Squall Leonheart's Gun Blade from Final fantasy 8.

I have the Ruger Mark IV LITE and it is one AWESOME little pistol! It will absolutely humiliate any larger caliber as far as accuracy. I can hit a paper plate size target at 100 yd relatively easy. I have never had it jam a single time. I have had it for 3 years. It killed a 250lb wild hog that was attacking a small dog from about 60 yards away, and a coyote that was running about 30 yards out. Anyone saying they jam is running THE WRONG AMMO through them, and need to get some stinger or mini mag. I've got the 1970 version of it also, Mark 1 A-100 that I'm refurbishing it's pretty sweet looking now
