According to the Chinese media, his rehearsal of "This Is Me" was even better than the stage performance and the entire orchestra gave him a stand-up ovation right afterward! BRAVO to what Zhou Shen has accomplished so far.... and he is going strong!

@@HennySho Me too, but unfortunately I don't think that exists, as so far I have not found anything filmed by fans. But Zhou Shen did sing that song in a couple of his annual livecasts from home.

@@phylis9489 It was "This Is Me" at the Bilibili year-end countdown gala. The director said it was his fault for recording Zhou Shen so late in the day that Shen couldn't hit the high notes he did during the rehearsal.

The Bilibili director also said that during the performance of 'This is Me', he deliberately left the stage bare i.e. no dancers or theatrics. He wanted nothing else to distract from Zhou Shen and his voice.

The Song "This is me" reflect earlier part of Zhou Shen life. He can relate to it very well, especially his "female" like voice. He suffer a lot due to it and he came to accept it as God endowed gift and came to term with it. He now advocate that one should accept one's own uniqueness. Who know, it could be your own competitive weapon.

The director who was incharge of the entire bili bili performance love zhoushen. He mention that they choose this is me is not only loved by zhoushen but also it shows zhoushen's original training in classical music so why not sing a song with classical music and also this side of zhoushen. However the director did mention due to the long hours of rehearsal the final recording(the one we r all watching) was done after midnight this zhoushen couldnt hit some of the high notes like during the rehearsal, so he said one of the sad thing about this is that zhoushen's rehearsal was soooooo good that even the orchestral group clap as well after he sang finish. But sadly during the final recording he was too tried to fully recreate the exact same way as the rehearsal but he still did really well 😂😂

@@rossettiyip1887 I don't that there'll ever be an official version of a rehearsal, and so far I have not been able to find anything filmed by fans. But Zhou Shen did sing that song in a couple of his annual birthday livecasts from home.

there's a web vid of Shen Shen singing This Is Me where he actually teared up and cried (I think it was one of his birthday Livestream???) I think he is really really sweet~ he does like "karaoke livestreams" for his fans on his own birthday every year, he talks and sings for his fans online just like a regular person even thou he is a HUGE star already, he takes requests, jokes around and sings for like 3 hours for his fans, plus u know how ppl can donate/give gifts in livestreams, he would alwayz be saying "DONT send anything!" x1000 ~~ he doesnt want anything from his fans, he just wants to GIVE more happiness to his fans~ What an ANGEL!!!

Actually, 姜子牙/Jiang Zi Ya is main character in a classical novel/book called 封神演義/Legend of Deification (probably mosted used title when translated into English). They really can't be equated because the novel itself has vast number of characters, and even though Jiang Zi Ya is main character, the novel is not necessarily always revolved around him.

In reality, 姜子牙/Jiang Zi Ya) was a king maker in ancient Chinese history. He was one of the founding generals, the chief commander under the Count of Zhou, 姬昌(Ji Chang) and 姬发(Ji Fa), of late Shang Dynasty in ancient China. He helped Ji Chang and subsequently Ji Fa to become the king and established Zhou Dynasty which governed ancient China from 1047 BC to 256 BC. 姜子牙(Jiang Zi Ya) himself became the founding Marquis of the 齐国(Qi) under of the Zhou Dynasty. Jiang Zi Ya also made a great contributions to the early Chinese civilization acoording to ancient history books. He was indeed a legend in China.

Hi, Jack, I think you should check the video " Zhou Shen 2019/09/29 birthday" He was celebrated his own birthday for making a video. Inside that video he had sung this song as well. He was crying, and i was crying with him too. So touching, what a humble, passionate, lovely guy he is. I had never seen a talented artist with such good personality like Zhou Shen

“終於開始學會眷戀這人間/Finally began to learn to love this world” "world" may not be a good translation to 人間 because of the deification theme. It is more like saying a deity 仙人 finally found his humanity and treasure it. I think an antonym of celestial world is a better translation, such as terrestrial, referring to the mortal world.
