Jon Romero discusses the importance of finding the right places to play and how it has now become the artist's responsibility to market each show and sell tickets. He says he views strategic touring as the most important thing that an artist can do because it’s where they “make those first true connections” with fans, which is so important because of the changing music industry landscape where the artist is responsible to market their shows and sell tickets. The word backstage is ‘corporates’. There was a massive shift during the 90’s when the money for the gig was coming in from different areas, but coordinating through the tour management. This was change didn’t see a detrimental immediately, but the way the buses and trucks were splitting and having to sub-hire a truck while also wanting a say over the drivers hours and to make sure all drivers and the double-drivers who fly in and out of a tour which requires longer hours to drive further miles to get to load-in as soon as you arrive next morning. When you think of the dynamic mechanics of it, the larger, heavy stuff is below a load of stuff that needs time to remove ag regain access to the big heavy stuff. A lot of the bigger heavier stuff would need to start loading first as the smaller and fatter set pieces are easy to store when closer to the door Double drivers hours mainly. Your Lead Driver would be all over this like a tramp on a bag of chips. Now I have got this far, and since I have a rule whereby I never read anything I have written, for that reason I have forgotten the theme and even who this is about. Maybe I should record these comments in a little scrap comic con gone wrong song pie & chips

Bruh..I just started doing this part for myself and I already wanna outsource it lol...I see the value but it feels like that moment you realize oh shit..I'm becoming a real adult here
