প্রথম ও দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণির সরকারি চাকরিতে কোটা ব্যবস্থা বাতিলের দাবিতে বিক্ষোভ করেছেন দেশের বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা। দাবি আদায়ে সড়ক ও মহাসড়ক অবরোধ করে তারা। এদিকে সর্বজনীন পেনশন স্কিম 'প্রত্যয়' বাতিলের দাবিতে টানা তৃতীয় দিনের কর্মবিরতি পালন করছেন সব সরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক ও কর্মচারীরা। এতে অচল অবস্থার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে। আর সংকট সমাধানে কাল আওয়ামী লীগ সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদেরের সঙ্গে শিক্ষক প্রতিনিধিদের বৈঠকে বসার কথা জানিয়েছেন আন্দোলনকারীরা। এ নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে আমাদের সঙ্গে আছেন সাবেক অতিরিক্ত সচিব আ ক ম সাইফুল ইসলাম চৌধুরী ও বার্তাকক্ষ থেকে আমাদের সাথে আছেন সহকর্মী নূরে আলম এবং সাভার থেকে আছেন সহকর্মী রুবেল আহমেদ।
